I had been to 2 other dealerships in the area and either received rude service or no return phone calls. I walked into Browns and was paired with Will Reilly. He was great. Found me the car I wanted with no hassles or high pressure. Even got a very fair deal on my trade. Will took care of everything and was nice and funny. When I picked up the car, he went over everything so I understood all the new bells and whistles. Also had a very positive experience with the finance department. I will definitely go back to Browns for my next vehicle. More
I'd been searching for a pretty specific Wrangler Unlimited for a few weeks and I decided to stop at Brown’s to check out the 10th anniversary Rubicon they had sitting out front. After wandering thei Unlimited for a few weeks and I decided to stop at Brown’s to check out the 10th anniversary Rubicon they had sitting out front. After wandering their lot I saw that they had the exact vehicle I was looking for in the back and I must have missed it online. We headed inside, but they didn’t have anyone available to help us; It was a Friday evening and they were pleasant enough, so looking to be accommodating, I tried to set up an appointment. We took a salesman, Matt Hogan’s, card and were on our way saying we’d be in touch early next week to set something up. We wound up calling Matt the next day to see if he had any time since our day was now freed up after our quick and efficient visit to another local Jeep dealership who really impressed us with their eagerness to locate the exact vehicle I wanted and the great price they gave us. I left a message that we were heading east and would be around in about an hour to please call me back ASAP and let me know either way. After not hearing back we decided to just show up. Matt had ‘just finished with a customer’ and offered to let us drive the vehicle I was interested in. This was good because I had not yet driven one with the 3.73 rear end that was a must have for me. On our test drive I mentioned that no one had explained the 4wd system to me completely yet and I asked if it was part time 4wd and his response was a simple yes - I guess it's not that complex of a 4wd system, but I expected more of an explanation, you know, a little salesmanship. We get back to the dealership and get to talking numbers. He brings the car back to his manager and comes back with a price of I believe it was $33,400 on a $35xxx msrp right off the bat and he told me that I had to do the deal today. I had already told him that today didn’t work as I still had a few days left on my ebay auction on my current car, but regardless does that price include the aftermarket heated seats you guys said you’d do? He says ‘oh you want heated seats?’ even though we’d briefly discussed it the day before. He says that he can find out how much those will be. I told him to be honest I’ve got an offer of $33,000 from a dealership who has to locate a vehicle for me and the vehicle has heated seats. He reacts with shock and disdain and says “No. There’s no way he’ll(his manager) do that. This is $500 less than I’d get the car for. We just got it in last week.” So I sit there and take it all in and say well alright then I guess thanks for your time and leave. At this point I’m fed up because 1) obviously I’m not going to get the car for less than an employee would, so basically you're lying to my face and 2) his reaction was so rude that I’d never want to give him a penny of my money. I had a feeling they hadn’t gotten the car last week, so when I got home I had a friend run the vin and unsurprisingly the car had been there since January 29 and it was now May 18. When it came time to locate my car, my dealer tried to get the one from Brown's, but they said they 'had someone on the hook for it' and wouldn't give it up. I wound up getting a Wrangler with a sticker 2k higher than the Brown's one for the original negotiated price - seems like Matt's attitude really paid off for me. Matt Called me a full 10 days after my visit. I informed him that I’d picked up my Jeep the past Saturday and hung up. I returned to Brown's for service since they're closest to my house and I felt like they were a decently run dealership, we just got stuck with a poorly trained salesman. I brought the car in because it was two weeks old and sometimes it would stall after starting. I called Brown's on Friday to inquire about dropping the car off on Monday. The woman on the phone had an attitude when I inquired about dropping it off on Monday with such short notice, but she changed course when I told her it was a 2 week old car that was stalling. She quickly reversed course to her attitude when she realized I hadn't purchased the car from Brown's. I inquired about a loaner car and she said 'oh no, loaners are only for people who purchase their cars from us.' Guess what, I would've LOVED to purchase my car from a dealer 10 miles from my house rather than one 45 miles away. Anyway, the car went in and came back with newly reprogrammed keys and all was well. When I was there I did ask my service adviser about the loaners and he said 'even if you had bought it here there's a 3 week wait for loaner cars.' To be fair the loaner car issue really stems from Chrysler's unwillingness/inability to fund a true loaner program, but if you're going to advertise a loaner program, I think you should make sure that you can live up to it. I recently visited another local dealer that's about equidistant from my house in the opposite direction of Brown's and their parts guy was very helpful and they told me that while normally loaners are only for their sales customers, they'd be able to get me one if I gave them a few days notice. They'll have my service business for a while, and they'll at least get a chance to sell me another car at some point. I can't say the same for Brown's. Oh and Brown's still has the vehicle I'd looked at sititng in their inventory. More

I went to Brown's looking for a 2011/2012 Grand Cherokee. I previously went to Port Jeff Jeep and Smith Haven Jeep. The prices were higher at both Port Jeff and Smith Haven and they both charge a Cherokee. I previously went to Port Jeff Jeep and Smith Haven Jeep. The prices were higher at both Port Jeff and Smith Haven and they both charge a "PREP FEE". At Port Jeff the prep fee is $795.00 and at Smith Haven $895.00. Salesman at both dealerships said everyone charges a prep fee. Brown's DOES NOT charge a "PREP FEE". The salesman Frank at Smith Haven was also quite rude. I was very surprised at how helpful and nice the staff was at Brown's. I think I paid a fair price for my Jeep and Rick and Bill were very helpful in getting the deal done. I did the paperwork on Monday and picked up my car on Tuesday. Thanks again for making this a very pleasant experience. More

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous staff, clean showroom and shop areas. I had been to another Dodge dealer who just did not seem to care about me and so I drove 1/2 hour away to this dealer clean showroom and shop areas. I had been to another Dodge dealer who just did not seem to care about me and so I drove 1/2 hour away to this dealer. Well worth the trip. Overall, would recommend this dealership. One item that prevents me from giving 5 across the board is when I went to pickup my vehicle I ended up waiting for over 1/2 hour. My sales rep greeted me promptly and we did some paperwork and then he went to do something and did not come back nor have anyone else let me know what was going on. If my vehicle was not ready, it would have been fine, just would have been nice to have been in the loop. There was also another customer who appeared to be waiting for someone and I never saw anyone talk to them for quite a while also. More

We have been dealing with Brown's for over 20 years either in leasing or purchase of 6 Jeep Cherokees and 1 Subaru (for our son) and have always found Browns to be friendly and professional in their pr either in leasing or purchase of 6 Jeep Cherokees and 1 Subaru (for our son) and have always found Browns to be friendly and professional in their practices and in dealing with the customer. This continues on with Jim Rogers (our second purchase of a Jeep with Jim as our saleman). Jim explained everything in detail (much to the satisfaction of my wife who had a million questions concerning the electronics of the car) and overall reduced the "customer stress level" to almost zero!!. We also dealt with Kenny during our first appointment and finally with Bill (in the finance department) and together they make a team that Browns should be very proud of. We will continue to recommend Browns to our friends and anyone who wants to buy or lease a car. Keep up the good work and thank you! More
