 I want to start by saying that I LOVE Subaru! My husband has a 2016 WRX STI and I bought my first (2023 BRZ) 11 months ago. We enjoyed Subiefest Texas last year and already have tickets to attend My husband has a 2016 WRX STI and I bought my first (2023 BRZ) 11 months ago. We enjoyed Subiefest Texas last year and already have tickets to attend this year also! Over Mother's Day weekend, my 14-year-old daughter stole my wallet, keys, and BRZ and took off to see a boy across state lines. She totaled out my beloved car and it has crushed me. My daughter walked away with only minor bruising thanks to the amazing safety features of these beautiful machines (Thank YOU). On 5/15/24 my husband tells me to get in the car, we are driving 5 hours to look at another car. We get to the dealership in Mckinney, TX and there is a brand new 2024 BRZts waiting for me. He had called every dealership in Texas to find this car! I was so emotional, and we proceeded to buy the car! Dylan with sales was great! My concern is with financing. QB in financing was helping us. I told them both straight away that I did not want the extra warranties. I only wanted Starlink and GAP. I also informed QB that I had received a $500 loyalty voucher from buying the 2023 BRZ last year. He told me he could look it up and apply it to this purchase. I understand that there is dealer markup on vehicles. I expected the $1500 (or so) charge above the MSRP of $36,532 that was listed on the website. When I asked for the price breakdown, I was told that it included taxes and additional fees from the dealership. We were so exhausted from the drive and the stress that we signed our papers and went home. I am filing paperwork today and I see that my amount financed was actually $50,506.04 (after I had $1500 down) and that I was charged for extended maintenance AND service contract that I told the guy I DID NOT want. Not a huge deal, since I can call and cancel those, but the base they charged me was over $42k and did not add my voucher. Now trying to call and i get no answer when I call the dealership and they won't call me back now. I want to know why I was charged $6k more than MSRP, and was given the run around when I asked for a price breakdown on why that number was that high. Still cannot get anyone to call me back or answer my calls. I could have ordered the car with extras that I really wanted and waited until September at my local dealership and spent less money. Please pay attention to those papers when they try to distract you while you are signing. More
