Was caught off guard by all the last minute surprises in the finance office. Joey, the finance manager is a good guy and has a family to support, and I respect that. But it is not a good feeling to learn last minute, that payments automatically included GAP, extended warranty, and powertrain coverages. This should be mentioned during the initial figures agreement. Although I understand the need for these things, it felt very forced and unexpected. Not surprised, all dealerships pull this stunt, but I made my payment objectives clear to the sales manager when signing my numbers to submit for the loan. Not upset that I was approved for more than I expected, but it was bittersweet to have them assume I wanted all the additional coverages. An earlier conversation would about these things would have been more appreciated. I might have even bought the coverages, if any value in them had been better presented. I don't blame Mara or Heather in sales for this, they are new in their jobs. I do however, blame the management for poor training of their staff, and got upset because Rich (not sure which one) never asked me if I wanted the extended coverages, he led me into final closing with Joey, who probably assumed I wanted these things. He just presented the final paperwork, as if I knew all the things I was being charged for. Granted it was late, and we.all wanted to go home by this point. Thank you, Joey, for taking some extra time at the end to begin explaining the coverages. You will probably sell them easier, if you can get customers some literature in their hands about the actual coverages. All there is to review is a flimsy pamphlet, with not a lot of detail. Also, I never got my copies of all the disclosures I signed at closing. So I'm assuming they will be mailed to me. In the future, please try and make sure your traded cars have the spare keys, or at least mention it before final purchase. A few decades ago this was not a big deal, keys could be cut. But nowadays, it costs a couple hundred bucks for a key and remote, because they are encoded and need to be programmed by the dealer to work properly. Overall, it was a good experience, mostly because of the courtesy of the staff. The process was clumsy, and this is the only reason I am not giving a 5 star review. People are what matters, and I can tell the staff genuinely are good people, and work hard to make things happen for a positive experience. Forgetting my temp tag and documents and no spare keys, very clumsy. But this is a wrinkle that can easily be ironed out, with proper training. Thank you Ed and Heather, for being so kind, to provide excellent service after the sale, and for bring me my new registration and temp tag, which was not provided at closing. If you get a chance, can you mail me my documents and if at all possible, get me the spare keys, or perhaps a discount on a new set? Scary to think a copy of my keys are unaccounted for, but I'm sure it was not intentional by the previous owner. Perhaps a phone call to them would help. Thanks again, so much. Every day is a learning experience. I hope this helps, and wish you all blessings at work and at home. Would definitely recommend you all to friends, because clumsy can be trained, but good people skills are hard to find. I appreciate all you did to help me get an affordable rate on an awesome car. I did not make appointment, but I feel it would not matter wether you had an appointment or not; wait time is just way too long. More
