He was very courtesy and extremely knowledgable. The problem with my truck was quickly determined and service was performed in a timely manner--I was able to be home at a reasonable time rather than spending my entire evening at the dealership. The long, detailed version: I highly recommend Frank Hoggard at Brandon Honda. He went above and beyond in helping me. I had originally contacted him via email to inquire about pricing for the new Honda I was interested in. I had test driven the car when I was out of state and already knew I wanted it, so I just needed to find a dealer who would be easy to work with and give me a good price. I contacted a couple of sales reps whom had shown me other cars in the past year or two, and wrote some dealers I found online. Frank quickly replied back with an introduction email stating he'd send a complete quote shortly. Shortly was very shortly -- just a few minutes later I received the second email with the price breakdown. We corresponded back and forth about accessories and other details over a couple of days and I was able to get a good idea of what the car would run me and how much accessories would cost. When he asked if I wanted to order the car (as I was very specific in exactly what I wanted), I told him I was still getting an idea of the budget and that I had a unique camper I needed to sell in order to purchase the car unless they were able to take it in as a trade. Over the next two and a half weeks, we corresponded back and forth about the camper. Frank worked to locate multiple sources who would potentially be interested in the camper. Unfortunately the sources were not interested in my camper at the time. At this point, I still wanted the car though I wasn't having any luck finding a buyer for my camper from any dealers in the area. Some other dealers were very pushy and much more interested in making the sale than helping me with my trade. A couple of dealers never got back to me after they said they'd follow up with what they could do about my trade after I spoke with them multiple times. A sales rep at one dealer told me they had the car when it wasn't the color he knew I wanted. Frank was very much the opposite of these. He always responded back very promptly whenever I had an inquiry about the status of the order, an accessory, etc. He worked diligently to help me with my specific needs and very much earned the sale. As I didn't have a trade, I ended up applying for financing and received a blank check in the mail that I could use to purchase the car (at a dealer of my choice). I chose to work with Frank for he helped me much much more than anyone else did. I also read his other 5 star reviews, and saw that Brandon Honda was the best rated dealer in the area. It was much further from my home than other dealers, but well worth the longer drive to the dealer to receive the excellent service. I don't plan on purchasing another car for a long time, but when I do, I will definitely remember to contact Frank. After placing the deposit to order the car, I had to wait many weeks for it to come in, as the manual transmissions were only being built at specific times. Frank was able to find out what was queued up for production and gave me an estimate of when the car would arrive based upon the week it'd be built. We stayed in touch every few days throughout the wait and Frank kept me posted if he had an update. There ended up being a shipping delay and at one point, Frank even offered to give me back my deposit as there wasn't an exact known time of arrival. I wanted the car, so I decided to wait though did appreciate his concern and desire to keep a peaceful and friendly relationship. Before placing the deposit, I had asked Frank what we could do about the price, and emailed him a number that I thought was pretty reasonable. He got back to me pretty quickly and confirmed that we could do the out-the-door price I had suggested. That price only included a couple of the accessories and I was interested in a few more. I researched these online and spoke with the parts department to get a quote, though then I realized I'd prefer to add these the the final price at the time of purchase so I could wrap it all into the financing. I asked Frank about this, after we had already agreed upon a price, and he was still willing and able to add the accessories in. He worked with the parts department and got everything arranged for the new out-the-door price I had suggested. When I asked a sales rep at another dealer about the price details, I was told to come on in, though Frank was able to take care of everything ahead of time for me. We worked out the details via email and I placed the deposit over the phone, and I didn't have to make the trip to Brandon Honda in person until it was time to pick up my car. Frank was extremely helpful throughout the entire process of purchasing the car, and very willing to help me with exactly I was asking for. In comparison to sales reps at other dealers, I had at least one (seemingly only interested in selling what they had on the lot) tell me cars couldn't be ordered from Honda, or when I asked a manager for their best price, I received a very high breakdown with the full sticker price that was also marked up with unneeded accessories I hadn't asked for. Frank, on the other hand, was never pushy nor tried to sell me anything I wasn't asking for. When I asked about what exterior protection they had, he provided me with what they offered and when I asked about specific details, he provided those as well. He was much more helpful, friendly, and pleasing to work with. I've had other sales reps at other dealers call (and annoy me) endlessly when I told them I'd get back to them. When Frank did find out an estimated date of arrival, he promptly emailed me to let me know. He informed me that he was going on vacation and if it didn't arrive by the time he left, he'd have Jerry Meany (who worked with him in the internet department) help me. Jerry was also very prompt to reply when I inquired about the status of the car. I had asked Frank to make sure that no one would test drive my car before I picked it up (besides the person who inspected it). When I spoke with Jerry to inquire about the delivery status, he had told me that an identical car to the one I ordered had been transfered from another dealer if I wanted to have a look (as there was still an unknown delay and it was past the expected delivery date). When I commented that I'd wait for my car, Jerry already knew that I was very particular about wanting a brand new car that hadn't been driven. (Frank had previously offered to transfer the car from another dealer around the time he offered to refund me my deposit due to the unknown shipping delay but I had declined and decided to wait instead. Frank had even given me a list of what dealers in the state had the car I wanted at the time too. His interest was definitely more in serving my needs rather than his.) The car ended up being delivered when Frank was out of town and Jerry emailed me as soon as it arrived to let me know. I went in the next day after the pre-delivery inspection was completed and paint protection was applied. Jerry informed me some of the accessories wouldn't be in for a few of days and asked if I wanted to pick it up that day or wait and get it all at once. I went in that Saturday to go pick it up. He had me take it for a test drive as soon as I met him, and helped me with the initial paperwork and with applying for their financing to see if they could beat the rate I had already received with my blank check. Jerry introduced me to Eric Lewis in the service department who would be getting my accessories installed when they arrived. I worked with Sean in the business/financing department to get the paperwork signed and then I drove across the street with Jerry who filled up the tank of gas for me. A few days later Frank emailed me when he got back from vacation to make sure everything went okay and offered to help make it right if it was needed. I had a couple of questions about the car and Frank was very helpful in providing me support after the sale, as we corresponded back and forth a couple of times. Frank informed me that accessories were in and I contacted Eric to set up an appointment to get them installed. I originally wasn't expecting the additional accessories to be installed and thought I'd just pick them up, though Frank must have worked it into the deal for them to be installed. A few days later, I went in to get the accessories installed and asked Eric a couple of questions I had about the car. When setting up the appointment, I told him that I had noticed a small speck that appeared to be a chip in the paint on the hood of the car. When I showed him, he said it looked like a rock had bounced up and hit it. I can't say if this happened during delivery or if something had caused it after I had picked up the car. I had driven the car very carefully and don't recall a rock or anything causing it, though it was raining the afternoon when I picked up my car and most of the next few days after that, so I didn't have a chance to inspect the car closely to know if it was there when I got it or not. I didn't go into all those details but told Eric that I didn't know if that happened or it was like that at delivery, and asked if he could touch it up. He had a service technician apply some touch up paint to the spot, and I will be going back in next week to have the paint protection re-applied to that spot after the paint cures. I had started to type all this up last year though never finished it, and saw it still sitting on my computer, so figured I'd post what I had typed up now. There were more details I could add about Frank helping me afterwards regarding the paint chip and being friendly and nice to talk to him when I did meet him, though I'm sure you can see that he went above and beyond in all of his help in working with me regarding my trade, the accessories, ordering, and purchasing of my car. Easy process...GREAT salesman I spent several days to get prices on an Accord from stores within a 50 mile radius of Tampa. I looked at the out the door cost of the car and add-ons such as trunk liner, wheel locks, number of no-charge oil changes, etc. When I had each dealer's best price I approached Brandon Honda (it is closest to where I live) and told them what I wanted (price, extras, etc) - they agreed and asked Metin Cihaner to write up the deal. Metin is EXCELLENT to work with - unfortunately he only gets $100 to finalize what the store considers an Internet deal. In any event, Metin is great and having been to Brandon Honda for service on my Pilot and first oil change on the Accord, their service staff is also excellent. Jake Davidson (Asst Svc Mgr) got me in and out for the oil change in about 45 minutes. I recommend Brandon Honda, however, as with all dealerships do your homework. More
