Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Having had some more detailed conversation with you via email over the last week, here is what I have learned: This issue happened about two years ago. Of coarse, I wish we had been able to correct the problem for you. It is often difficult when symptoms are intermittent. It appears that our service department wanted to keep your car and drive it for a week in effort to duplicate the symptoms so that they might resove the issue. I believe this became a problem when you were asked to cover the bill for a rental car while this was taking place. I agree with you that you should not have to pay for the rental while warranty work is being performed. However, there is no coverage to accomodate this from the factory. Had I been made aware at the time, I would have covered this for you. I can only appologize that I was not. I understand that you do not own this vehicle any longer and that I can not change what happened two years ago. I would like to thank you though. We try very hard to keep processes in place that will ensure that our customers needs come first. Clearly we have failed in this instance and I will address the issue with my staff so that we can improve our service to our customers.
