The most unusual car purchase ever. It all started with a text message from Caitlin asking if I would allow her to text me. I liked that. Then we discussed the vehicle I wanted, back and forth.. confirmed the price, the down payment, etc. Ok. This is a good start. Now I live 200 miles away from the dealer, so I was not too excited to make that trip and then be jacked around once I arrived....We agreed I would come the next day. Fast forward... I am 2 hours out and I get a text from Chris Kelly saying.. Caitlin had a family emergency and was out that day but he would be very happy to meet me and ensure I was taken care of... I am thinking.. brother, let the games begin... We've all seen this before.. grrrr... Well, I am HAPPY to say that nothing could have been more surprising when I arrived... Chris met me immediately.. took me to the vehicle... asked me if I wanted to test drive it.... I'm like WHOA... let's confirm the price and the down payment. He said yes... the price and down are confirmed and your financing is arranged. Huh? Where is the game? Chris then informed me that Scarff-Ford doesn't do business like that. They focus on making the customer happy and satisfied. They want the customer to be returning some day. They don't get paid commission but only on reviews. Wow. This was a major mind shift for me. I dread even going to auto dealers because of my prior experiences, but Chris Kelly was amazing. The whole experience was such a positive for me. It was a beautiful NW day, my beautiful dream car was waiting for me..... and the BEST part... I had 200 miles of open road to drive my new Pony.... he he.... If you want no hassle and a great buying experience.... Scarff Ford Lincoln in Kent.... you won't be sorry! More

Painful buying experience I would not recommend this dealer. I bought a Ford 150 super crew. The dealer had lots of trucks on the lot. I found a truck I wanted to purchase and that's where it got painful. Brent was our sales person. He was very friendly and helpful. Although as I was working on price with incentives I felt he wasnt being honest. Im not sure if it was him or the manager because he keep leaving the room. He came back with price and numbers on paper. Of course the incentives weren't on the deal. I had to press the issue. This happened three times with different scenarios. Finally agreed to price then the real pain came in the finance office. They want to charge me 10 % interest- really with a credit score of 840. I decided to just pay cash and stop the pain. Then they told me they found a better rate from ford for 7.6 something. Still painful but I decided to sign. Then they talked me into financing and telling me it would not cost anything if I paid off in the month (no fees or any costs) I ask them three times and same answer no extra cost. I agreed and signed (but had pit in stomach). Yesterday I call Ford credit cuz I just didn't feel good about the deal. They informed me that indeed I was paying interest daily. Yikes for 9 days it cost 115.00 interest. This was the best 115.00 spent to never deal with the dealer again. I am on my way to another dealer to buy 3 more trucks today which I inform the sales person at Bowen I was interested in. Seriously you'd think they would bend over backwards to get that business but instead treated us like we were uninformed and could do what they wanted. I wanted to buy local but have to go farther to get treated better. Just for the record we are commercial landscapers and always need truck at different sizes !!!!! More
