Real people and real customer service. I am in love with my purchase! I will be returning to Bonneville for future car purchases. Eleni Samaras was one of the best sales people I have ever worked with, I have purchased a few vehicles over the course of my life, and never before have I felt from a sales person a "genuine" goodness and sincerity. Buying a car is such a nerve wracking experience and she made it better and worked with me to get me exactly what my family needed! Jay, the Finance Manger was very professional, very direct and very accommodating. What amazed me was the entire time I was there, different Dealership staff saying "hi", "thanks for coming by"-being personally greeted and being told "thank you" by the manager was also a "feel good". I actually had a first while there, once I went to leave in my vehicle, Eleni sat in the vehicle with me and made sure I knew all of the components and how to work them. I bought a KIA Borrego from Tom at Bonneville and Sons about 3 years ago and he really helped us get into something that was perfect for us. So this month, when I needed to replace my second car he was th about 3 years ago and he really helped us get into something that was perfect for us. So this month, when I needed to replace my second car he was the first person I called! I even did some digging around/comparing prices in between and came right back to Bonneville. I've had a couple weeks with the new to me Chevy Cobalt we bought there and we are super happy with the car and our experience. From the very first personal interaction we had with Mr. Pinard at Bonneville and Son, our experience was horrific. My husband and I had called the previous evening about a vehicle WE had seen on the invent Pinard at Bonneville and Son, our experience was horrific. My husband and I had called the previous evening about a vehicle WE had seen on the inventory online, and we were eager to test drive it and make a trade in. When we arrived for our appointment, Mr. Pinard barely even acknowledged us. We reminded him of what car we were interested in, but he made no effort to get to know us as customers, didn’t ask any questions at all, not even our plan of action for buying this truck. He left to get the truck, and literally handed my husband the key and said, “Don’t hurry back, I’ve got another sale working right now.” We fell in love with the truck, as anticipated, and came back to talk about getting it home. We were sat at a different desk, while Mr. Pinard chatted and worked with another sale. When it was finally our turn again, he was constantly in a repetitive cycle of getting up, walking away, coming back, clicking on his computer, and leaving again. When he finally did talk to us, we got “Bad news,” “Well, this can’t happen,” “There’s nothing I can do to help,” accompanied by, “If you’re going to get a better deal somewhere else, then go ahead.” He didn’t even offer more affordable options. He was ready and willing to watch us walk out the door. Now, since I was 16, I’ve been in sales, and I’m fairly certain that the first you need to know is to try to save your customer. Create customer loyalty. I can tell you right now that Mr. Pinard did NOT sell that truck to us. WE sold it to ourselves. Because Mr. Pinard hadn’t bothered to get to know us as customers from the beginning, he didn’t know we were planning to have my father cosign for financing. When that information was shared, and my father walked through the door, Mr. Pinard’s demeanor completely changed. He was friendly, and excited to sell a car. I had even already asked to speak to a manager and Mr. Pinard conveniently didn’t get him until my father showed up. I take GREAT offense to this. Just because we are a married couple in our mid-twenties doesn’t mean we should be looked over or treated any differently. We both got the impression that Mr. Pinard was banking on the fact that we had no money for a car and didn’t want to waste his time. I will tell you that I am not a stupid child. I am 26 years old, and the only reason my father had to cosign is because I went to a prestigious university for a fantastic education and now have over $70K in loan debt. I also suffered a sudden physical disability last year, so I can’t work any longer. To top it off, I find it very disrespectful that my father was the one thanked for his sale, and also received a thank you in the mail. If Bonneville and Son had paid any attention whatsoever to the sale, they would know that it wasn’t my father’s sale. It was MY decision to trade in MY car, and the ONLY reason B and S got our sale is because it was the exact vehicle we were looking for and we were in a hurry to get it. In addition to the atrocious customer service, when we asked for our key to the original car on the test drive day, Mr. Pinard said it was in our ignition. EXCUSE ME? In the ignition?? We sat around for 4 hours, with no idea our key was inside our car, out of our sight, with my husband’s hundreds of dollars of mechanics tools in the trunk. Like every other dealership we’ve dealt with, we assumed Bonneville and Son was RESPONSIBLE and respectful and could keep track of customer’s keys in a safer way. We were not even told, so as to have the option to go collect them, or take the risk. The clearly fill-in-the-blank follow up thank you letter states, “Now we want to keep you a Bonneville customer for life.” Best of luck; this dealership will never see one cent from us again. We will spend MORE money to go out of our way so as to not use our “Miles for Smiles” card; this experience was that terrible. Quite frankly, I’m shocked Mr. Pinard even had the audacity to give us business cards to refer people to him. They went right into the trash. Don’t bother coming here if you are young and starting a family, because you won’t get taken seriously. More
