But it sounds like you took advantage of a deal by buying an "as is" vehicle with a small issue and turning it into a great buy for you! We sell cars "as is" to keep the cost down on the vehicle to make it affordable for customers. We allow customers to do just what you did, decide if they can/want to perform the repair themselves and save money or take it to their mechanic of choice to make the repair. It did work out for me and if they are shopping hard on line and watch for vehicles that sit for long periods and have big price drops it can for others. I would do it again. I was wrong in my rating on transparency because you were 100% clear.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We hate that we were unable to take care of the tire for you. We do follow DOT guidelines and cannot repair a tire that does not fall into those guidelines. Sometimes you cannot tell just from looking at the tire on the vehicle and we have to take it off and inspect it which takes more time. DOT regulations and saftey is our priority.
