They are friendly and professional. Our car was caught in a flood. They got our car in and went to work on it immediately, saving it from a total loss. When I took the car in, there was a truck that caught my eye, the sales and finance staff made the process seamless. More
Probably the best automobile dealership service dept in the San Antonio area. The service dept is the reason I didn't consider another dealer when I purchased my 2024 Ram. the San Antonio area. The service dept is the reason I didn't consider another dealer when I purchased my 2024 Ram. More
They repaired my 2019 RAM Limited's bubbling dashboard back around 2021 under factory warranty. I specifically asked if I was covered if it happened again. I was told there was a 2 year warranty on part back around 2021 under factory warranty. I specifically asked if I was covered if it happened again. I was told there was a 2 year warranty on parts/labor, so yes. Fast forward to 2023 and the replacement dash started bubbling and now the instrument cluster cover was all warped. I brought it back after the manufacturer warranty expired, but while the 2 year parts/labor warranty was still supposedly in effect. I was told they would repair it under the 2 year warranty, but there was a shortage of dashboards due to this being a common problem and they didn't know when replacements would come in. Fine, I can wait AS LONG AS I'M STILL GOING TO BE COVERED, regardless of how long it takes, right?? Yes. Over the course of a year, I visited and called many times trying to get a status of a new dash since they never kept me updated. Also to keep reminding them I was still waiting. But parts were supposedly still in short supply due to the high demand for replacements. I even called corporate to ask if I could be given some priority on a replacement dash. They referred me back to the dealer and said they have to put the parts order in, which I of course relayed back to the dealer. Now, a year later, I'm going "enough is enough!" I went back to the dealer this week to insist we're now way beyond reasonable, and it turns out the service advisor no longer works there. They claim they can't find any records of my repair request, no logs of any calls, messages, visits, corporate calls, nada. It's like the problem never existed. Yet I lost track of how many times I've reached out to my advisor, both on the phone and in person, over the year. Apparently NOTHING was documented. How is that possible? So while telling me "We're sorry, we failed you, we know this is a common vehicle defect that you have a right to be upset about, and we understand your frustration", I also get "but because we have no evidence you were ever here for this repeat problem and you're out of manufacturer warranty, there's nothing more we can do. You'll have to take it up with corporate." Apparently because the work was originally done under the manufacturer warranty, and I'm now out of that warranty, so their 2 year warranty doesn't apply. What?? No, I don't have records of every time I dropped by or called to ask for a status, or kept a written record of the request for a replacement. Why would I? I thought it was the dealer's responsibility to document and monitor their customer's situations and keep them posted. I have no problem calling corporate and letting them know this was a textbook case of how to do everything wrong, leave the customer out to dry, and ruin the brand. And also telling everyone to avoid this dealership. Side note. I stopped bringing my vehicle there for service after my manufacturer warranty expired (due to years, not miles). I was there for an oil change once and they tried to sell me all new tires after less than 25K miles of wear saying they were down to 3/32 and needed to be replaced because they were getting dangerous The truck sits in the driveway most of the time so it didn't make sense. I went over to Discount tire for a second opinion and they measured them at 5/32 and still had at least 5K of safe life left, if not more. Never trusted them again. Hope you get better repair service than I did. Warning to the wise if you do still choose to go there...document EVERY interaction you have with them and keep it somewhere safe. More
