Thank you for the comments. We appreciate both positive and negative feedback concerning our customer's experiences with us. These comments confirm what do right and help us to improve. As our customers know, we provide a no charge CarFax vehicle history report on every used vehicle that we sell. When presented with the CarFax informing of open recalls, two options were presented. Allow Bob Swope Ford to perform the recalls or to allow the customer to take the vehicle to their local Ford dealership in Tennesee. When our offer to perform these recalls was declined, we assumed that we had another satisfied customer. We apologize if that assumption was incorrect. We did not realize any dissatisfaction until we were asked to pay for a 100,000 mile extended warranty because we did not perform the declined recalls. Again, our apologies for not being able to bear the cost of a "free" extended warranty. We do appreciate your business and hope you enjoy driving your Taurus SHO.

Let us begin by apologizing for any inconvenience your experience at Bob Swope Ford may have created. We must rely on two things when obtaining financing for any of our customers. First, the information provided by credit bureaus. Second, the accuracy of all information provided in online or paper credit applications. We are not allowed to alter this information when provided to us by the applicant. Unfortunately we were provided misinformation and our approval was based on the misinformation. When trying to correct that information with our banks, the application no longer qualified for approval. We regret this unfortunate mistake but would be happy to try again on your behalf in the future. We could also refer you to our Swope Freedom Plan program. Please let us know when you are ready.

Mr. Christie, I apologize for any inconvenience we may have inadvertently caused you. This is not common practice at Bob Swope Ford. After several missed appointments last week on that same vehicle, our used car coordinator decided to send this vehicle to auction at the last minute to fill an empty slot. Unfortunately, our sales management was not informed of this decision. Although the truck was still here when you arrived and you were offered the opportunity to inspect the vehicle, I'm sure you were too upset to accept that offer. Upon inspection, you would have seen for yourself that the vehicle is cosmetically lacking, but has a good solid powertrain. Remember, it does have 188,000 miles on it and is being sold "AS IS" as stated on our web listing. After being informed of your inconvenience, I immediately stopped sale of the vehicle at the auction. The vehicle will be available for your inspection until Tuesday, July 30, if you wish to do so.
