When necessary he immediately sought answers to questions. The salesman was very friendly and took his time to make sure that all of my questions were answered and concerns were addressed. This car purchase was one of the easiest for me because I felt very much at ease working with the Salesman. Although the final price was higher than I had hoped to pay I feel that it was justified for what I received in return. The pre-owned vehicle is in excellent condition and Plan A with Extended Maintenace should provide many years of worry-free use. More

My husband and I had been looking at cars online for several months. We could never find a time when we were both available to do the shopping in person. I found myself in Des Moines with some extra time on my hands, so I stopped in at Bob Brown Chevrolet. (There was a Kia we saw online that we liked.) Bill Fryer was the sales person that worked with me. He was so helpful and friendly!! Especially since I had my two kids with me - ages 5 & 9. (They loved the ride on the golf cart) I had never purchased a car on my own, but Bill Fryer made it a great experience. He was personable and professional and made me very comfortable with the whole process. When I stopped in at a local dealership I was dismissed by the salesman and told to come back when my husband was with me. Obviously, I never went back!! Bill, on the other hand, was happy to deal with me and my kids. We test drove the car, looked it over and took care of all of the paperwork. My husband and I were able to return the next day to sign the final contract. It took about 10 minutes of my husbands time and he loved the car too!! We are so glad with our whole experience at Bob Brown Chevrolet and will absolutely return when we replace my husband's car. Thanks!!! More

I was browsing vehicle options online and came across a preowned vehicle that caught my attention. It was a great experience for my mom to purchase her first brand spankin' new vehicle overall. Price was great, the salespeople were great, and they worked with us. My only issue is with the last minute sales pitch to try and get you to purchase the rust "proofing" when you're in the middle of signing paperwork. I've purchased it before (during that last minute salespitch) and it doesn't work...and once we told the finance person we would be waiving the fictitious rust proofing, her entire attitude towards us changed and she became very short. I felt blamed for talking my mom out of it when I had personal experience with it not working. What should have happened, was she should have taken down the name of the dealership (George White in Ames) I purchased the waste-of-a-grand rust 'proofing' from and taken it up directly with that dealership for scamming me. That would have proved to me this dealership was selling a quality product and we might have gone forward with the purchase of the rust proofing. More

The only negative thing I can say so far is that when I went to pick up my newly pre-owned vehicle is that when I asked my salesman if it had a full tank of gas his response was "it should be close." I work with the public everyday all day long and to me his repsonse should have been "let me go check and fill it up for you." Other then that my overall experience as been great so far even working with the service department, they get your vehicle in quickly and get you out in a timely manner. More
We had a great experience when purchasing our new vehicle at Bob Brown Chevrolet. Our salesman, Eric Dowerah, was very low-pressure, which we appreciated as we were not sure if we were ready to buy a vehicl at Bob Brown Chevrolet. We test drove the vehicle three times and never felt like we "had" to buy from them. Eric answered all of our questions and helped us find the vehicle that was the right fit for us. As far as customer service goes after the sale, Eric made sure to give us his contact information so that we could contact him directly any time with questions. We appreciated also that they were willing to negotiate price and show us the options that made the most sense for us financially. They worked with us to get a payment that we could afford. We were first time customers at Bob Brown and if we are in the market for a Chevy vehicle in the future or know others that are, we would not hesitate to return or recommend the dealership. More
