Bill Penney Toyota of Huntsville is an awesome car dealership! John and Jamie are a top quality sales tandem and are a pleasure to work with. They both handled all aspects of the sales process in a dealership! John and Jamie are a top quality sales tandem and are a pleasure to work with. They both handled all aspects of the sales process in a courteous, knowledgeable and professional manner. They were very forthcoming with information on the vehicles that we shopped and ultimately purchased. I would rate our overall experience as 5 stars. If you are in the market for a car and would like a no-pressure environment with great people to work with then give them a try. When we go to buy our next vehicle we will start there first. Thanks again for a great experience! More
This is the 5th vehicle I have purchased from Bill Penney Toyota, lst one being in 1994. I have had very good service of the lst four... lst one being an Oldsmobile & others Toyotas, so I went over t Penney Toyota, lst one being in 1994. I have had very good service of the lst four... lst one being an Oldsmobile & others Toyotas, so I went over there mainly as a result of an email received to consider trading my '07 4Runner for this '11 4Runner. Everyone I have dealt with has been very friendly, considerate and easy to work with. Also, I have found employees in service department to be very considerate and helpful. More
I found this vehicle on Auto trader.com , online and contacted the dealer. They told me the condition of the vehicle, and stated the problems it had, and the cost to fix it. The salesmen went out of his contacted the dealer. They told me the condition of the vehicle, and stated the problems it had, and the cost to fix it. The salesmen went out of his way to help and answer any questions. He was very friendly and patient with my many questions and concerns. We made a gentelmen's agreement after i made a down payment and we set on a price-that if there were any undisclosed problems that the deal would be void. I bought a ticket and flew in from Houston. My salesmen picked me up at the airport. After looking over the van it was found to have several more serious problems- rear seal leeks. I met with the sales mgr and he agreed to honor his word and the dealer covered the $1000 cost to have their service dept fix the problem. After fixing it they found another seals leaked , so they fixed that as well. I was very impressed with their integrity and honesty. After the vehicle was fixed it was done to perfection, and i was able to drive the vehicle home to Houston. I would recommend this dealership to anyone More
Bob Fitzgerald, our salesman, did a great job locating the vehicle we wanted. Since we are 160 miles from his dealership, Bob handled all the preliminaries with me by phone. When we were ready to pick up the vehicle, Bob came in on his day off to walk us through the intricacies of the vehicle, and ride with my wife for her test drive. All told it was a very rewarding experience working with Bob. More
I would say that overall, my experience was ok. Dealing with Donny was a joy. He actually picked me up at the airport on his day off to sell me a car. That's just outstanding. (You rock, Donny.) However, t with Donny was a joy. He actually picked me up at the airport on his day off to sell me a car. That's just outstanding. (You rock, Donny.) However, the experience hasn't been great since. I bought the car on a Tuesday and it broke down on Saturday. I called the dealership to inquire as to what they might do to help and all I got was "Oh, let me call you back." I did buy it as is, but I didn't expect to have to spend $300 on the car in repairs the first week. This experience has left me sour to the dealership and I probably would question buying from them again. In the future, I would suggest that they offer to at least pick up part of the expense of repairing a car that had broken down only 4 days after purchase. Good luck securing a loyal customer base with your current methods. More
I normally HATE the process of buying a car, which is one of the reasons I drove my Toyota Highlander for almost 200,000 miles - that, plus it was a great, trouble-free car. Since I moved to Huntsville afte of the reasons I drove my Toyota Highlander for almost 200,000 miles - that, plus it was a great, trouble-free car. Since I moved to Huntsville after I bought the Highlander, this was the first time I've bought from Bill Penney Toyota. It was a pleasant, pain-free experience. The salesman, Doug George, was patient and answered all of my questions. I believe he truly wanted me to have the vehicle I would be most satisfied with, and not necessarily the highest priced one in stock. I never felt pressured to make an immediate decision. I bought a Prius, which I love so far. Incidentally, I have had assistance from almost everyone in the service department over the past few years because I was diligent about keeping the car serviced. I have always believed that I was treated fairly, and again, never pressured to have unnecessary work done on the car. I'd definitely recommend this dealership and service department. More
The entire purchasing process at Bill Penney is exceptional...from meeting and talking with Mr. Penney and Zach, being greeted by Nick Lanza, working with Venson in sales (is always a pleasure), Dr exceptional...from meeting and talking with Mr. Penney and Zach, being greeted by Nick Lanza, working with Venson in sales (is always a pleasure), Drew and David in finance and talking with everyone from the receptionist to the team on the tower; a total team and family style event. I even added to the experience by going over to the service and parts departments. This outstanding experience continued to get better and more superb with each passing exchange. Although there are 3 Toyota dealers in or near Huntsville, AL and I my financial desire is to always try to spend my money in my own home town. Regardless of those two factors, dealing with Bill Penney only further enhances my intent when purchasing a car. Throw in the fact the I ended up with an outstanding 2012 Toyota Tundra, to use good English, this buying event was more better in every regard. More
