Original salesperson wasn't available but, I dealt with a very knowledgeable salesman that was very familiar with Subaru vehicles. I worked a fair deal, but I was tired of looking for cars at this point. I told the salesman that I wanted to finance with my Credit Union and he wrote that on my file. It was about 5:45 PM when I was seated in the waiting area for a finance person. After over two hours waiting, I was sat down with an older gentleman that wasn't too concerned about customer satisfaction. He had the paperwork already completed with the finance institution of his choice apparently one with a kick back. I expressed again that I wanted my credit union he said it was about the same and wouldn't make any difference. This was on Saturday night and I was finally able to leave at 8:30 PM. I consulted with my credit union on Monday morning and their rate would reduce my payments by $25 per month. I called the salesman and told him I wanted to redo the contract with my credit union and I also didn't want the $3K of warranty that I was pressured into agreeing to late on Saturday night. I came in a couple hours later. The finance guy walked by a couple of times with dirty looks and then was extremely unpleasant and rude in his office. He kept telling me he didn't have to do anything. He refused to give me my credit union as the finance institution, but instead dropped their rate below what I was given at the credit union. After slinging the paperwork across the desk just said "that's all you can go." I have bought many many cars and this was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered and it had nothing to do with the salesman. The salesman would get 5 stars but the finance brought the entire dealership down. More

Overall good experience I bought a 2015 4Runner and the sales person (Jeremy Cooper) new which vehicle on the lot that met my needs. A simple, clean, and pleasant car buying expereince I’ve been a Bill Penney customer since 1991 and have never had a bad experience. This was my second time working with Robert Sledge in sales. He made this experience simple and clear and left me with no doubts that I was in good hands. The finance manager made his part of the process as quick and painless as possible. WOW! What a wonderful car buying experience! My husband and I decided it was time to upgrade our 2010 Honda. As we talked about which route to take we determined that we would like to get as new My husband and I decided it was time to upgrade our 2010 Honda. As we talked about which route to take we determined that we would like to get as new a model car as possible with the cash we had saved to make a purchase. We both believed that we would put our Accord EXL for sale to get the maximum amount for it rather than taking a low ball trade in offer from a dealer. We decided to be open to looking for a low mileage 2015 or 2016 vehicle. We narrowed our search to Honda Accord EXL, Toyota Camry XLE, and a Nissan Altima with a similar package. We decided to make a trip to the three dealerships in Huntsville to see what the 2016 cars had to offer. We test drove each of the vehicles and took our 2010 Honda to each location to be evaluated. At this point in the narrative I am not going to speak about the other two dealerships. My review will be of Bill Penney Toyota. To begin with, God directed our path to the dealership on a day when Mr. James Jackson met with us. We are a couple in our late 60s. We have been around the block a time or two in all those years. James Jackson was undoubtably the most knowledgeable sales person concerning his product that we have ever encountered. His personality, honesty, integrity, manners, and ethics superseded any experience we have had. Because of his knowledge and understanding of what we were looking for, he took up step by step to find the right vehicle for our situation. We traded our 2010 Honda Accord because the folks at Bill Penney Toyota gave us what we were looking for if we had sold the car on our own. We didn't have to settle for a 2015 or 2016 vehicle. We drove away in a 2017 Toyota Camry XLE with all the safety features we needed and desired. We decided to finance the vehicle and had the same exception service from Mr. Jeremy Johnson. Again, Jeremy was a class act; honest, ethical, knowledgeable and accommodating. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bill Penney Toyota as a dealership that wants your business and has made their business model one to be proud of. No wonder they are the #1 seller of Toyotas in the state of Alabama. Hats off to the owners, managers, employees, and especially to James Jackson. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. More
