Customer Service I've dealt with Fitzgerald and Jack Taylor Toyota in addition to Bill Page. The first two pale in comparison to the service staff at Bill Page. Buyer Beware!!!! Sold me a car that is unsafe and I have to chock the wheels when parked in my driveway for fear of something failing and the vehicle rolling unattende Sold me a car that is unsafe and I have to chock the wheels when parked in my driveway for fear of something failing and the vehicle rolling unattended into my neighbors children that frequently play in our cul-de-sac and base of my driveway. • On June 27th I purchased a 2009 Toyota Sienna AWD from Bill Page Toyota • On my way home from the dealer while parked at a gas station I leaned against the vehicle and it started rolling, this did not register at the time • Once home from the dealer I parked the car in my driveway and with the car in park it started rolling backwards down my driveway. • I immediately called and left a message at the dealer. • On June 28th I received a call asking me to bring the vehicle back in, we agreed on a day that could happen • On June 30th 1 day prior to the day I had planned to take the van back for service I made the 100+ mile trip to the dealer. I was assured they would find the source of the issue even though it was non symptomatic upon drop off. • On July 2nd they called to tell me they had put it in park on a hill and it did not roll, tried to say I must have had the car in neutral, and tried to play me for a fool that did not know how vehicles work. • On July 3rd I had to make the 100+ mile drive to the dealership again to try and perform the diagnostics on the vehicle that the service dept should have done but did not. From one person to the next I was told I could not perform the diagnostics that would test the teeth on the parking gear. This culminated in raised tempers, voices, and my slip of 1 expletive. Ultimately the dealerships assertion is that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and had I been using my emergency brake the vehicle would not have rolled down my driveway, or when I had leaned on the car prior. They see no problem with the fact that the vehicles primary system for immobilizing the vehicle when not in use failed to function not once but twice, according to them this is because I failed to utilize the emergency backup system that is far more commonly defective, and is designed as a redundant system. • At this point I was told that they were done with the vehicle and to contact the “Toyota Experience Center” • I had a period where I had to deal with some personal and work-related matters that outweighed all other matters. This included the death of my Grandmother. • Upon calling this number on July 13th they wanted to redirect me to the dealership. When I explained the dealership was washing their hands of it and told me to call them, I was told after dealing with the right person at the dealer they could get involved if still required. • On July 14th I received a message from the dealership stating that unless Toyota stood up and made them do something they were done. I called the Experience Center back and explained this to them and was told that there was nothing more that could be done. I could however call the dealership. • Having no desire to deal with a service department any further who has no interest in finding the issue, only pretending there is no issue, and trying to wait out the short-lived warranty. I chose to call the sales department and tell them I just wanted to return the vehicle and they could sell it to someone else if they had faith in it. They refused….. • Then they told me I had been allowed to test drive the car, and had identified no issues then, the service dept said there were no issues, so I got what I paid for. I essentially took this as them saying in all reality the “warranty” that they had promoted was worthless and they would never admit to any faults within the warranty period of 30 days 1000 miles unless there was a catastrophic failure that they couldn’t drag their feet on and deny existed. • You can make your own decisions based on the facts as I am able to fit them on here.
