They sure know how to sell cars - cars that are defective. I bought a used 2018 forester from them a little over a year ago. Worked remotely for most of 2020-2021 so drove it very little. Brought i defective. I bought a used 2018 forester from them a little over a year ago. Worked remotely for most of 2020-2021 so drove it very little. Brought it for routine service and multi-point inspections. Conveniently nothing was ever found to be wrong until the week the 60,000 mile warranty was over (I bought the car at 56,000 and change). Any time I go in for service the team is rude, defensive, blaming, argumentative and extraordinarily unhelpful. I am currently dealing with a car that won’t pass inspection (can’t get it inspected at Subaru because their machine is down - so I went to the mechanic Subaru has personally been referring people to). Need new control arms and brakes - again, none of this came up in the numerous multi-point inspections, the last one being a month or two ago. According to “service” department, the demise of these parts could have happened between that time. Well let me tell you that looking underneath the car you can see the corrosion- that doesn’t take place overnight. Clearly customer service, satisfaction and safety are NOT a priority with these people. Everything is a battle. Everything is the customer’s fault. Thus I am now paying for a car that is dangerous to drive. The only option of getting to work is paying for a rental in addition to a car payment. Was told by “service” department that I have to bring it to them so they can look at it (was literally there yesterday) and then they will put in a claim for the parts IF they decide they find something wrong with it because they can’t take “my” mechanics word for it ( you know, the mechanic they’ve been sending people to). So where does that leave me? Out of money, out of work, and completely out of patience or anything complimentary to say. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!! More
