First, he helped me and my father by deciding if buying a new, used or signing up for a lease was the way to go which we were having a tough time with since I was watching my budget. After deciding to lease a vehicle he showed let us facetime him and let me ask all the questions. When the day came to get the 2019 Subaru Forrester Sport I decided on, he walked me through the ins and outs of the car and the options I had for it and made sure that if at anytime I had a question I could reach out and he would help. He took his time to make sure all the bells and whistles worked and if he couldn’t figure it out he would get someone who could. It was a really great experience being my first dealings at a dealership and I would recommend him highly to friends and family. More

Best Car Purchase Experience We were recommend to Howard Bonfield, salesman at Bill Kolb, Jr. Subaru by our daughter and son-in-law, who own 2 Subarus. We made an appointment w We were recommend to Howard Bonfield, salesman at Bill Kolb, Jr. Subaru by our daughter and son-in-law, who own 2 Subarus. We made an appointment with Howard and discussed what we were looking for. Howard understood immediately, and carefully reviewed his inventory of used cars to find one that met our requirements and was within our price parameters. Fortunately, there was one vehicle that met 95% of our needs. There was no high pressure sales pitch, but a thoughtful discussion about the car and its price. Howard offered a very generous trade-in allowance on our car in order to bring the price down to our range. As we decided to finance a portion of the costs, we worked with Paul Spiegel, who was efficient and explained the terms of the financial arrangements very well. The dealership arranged the financing, transfer of license plates and registration, and making the necessary changes with our insurance carrier. We drove away from the dealership with everything having been done, and leaving us with nothing to do but enjoy our new car. Upon driving our new car home we discovered that the radio was not functioning. Upon calling Howard the following morning, he made an appointment for us with the service department, which repaired the radio quickly and at no charge. Prior to visiting Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, I walked out of five I could not have had a more pleasant experience purchasing my 2017 Subaru Outback today. Prior to visiting Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, I walked out of five other dealerships. The others either did not have what they advertised online, had thousands of dollars in hidden fees, or made me feel uncomfortable or pressured. When I received a text from Bianca inviting me in to look at the inventory, I had all sorts of questions for her – and she answered every one of them promptly and thoroughly. So I drove from Staten Island to Westchester solo for an appointment to look at the Subaru I picked out online. Howard greeted me immediately, offered me coffee, and I began to ask him all sorts of questions. He patiently answered every one. Howard made me feel comfortable through every step of the purchasing process - the test drive, the Carfax, the insurance, rental return, programming the car radio and clock, and even steered (pun intended) to a great Thai place for lunch. The only hitch I could find with Howard was the one he showed me that my new car had! Seriously, Howard’s professionalisms and expertise were wonderful, but his real superpower is the authentic connection he can make with people on a human level- and that’s what makes people feel a level of comfort and trust when making a large purchase. I also have to give a shout out to Paul, the finance guru, who kept it real for me and didn’t try to oversell extra options I don’t need ( I did purchase a few Paul suggested and I knew would be practical). Usually this is the stage of the car buying process where the tone starts to shift to a more tense nature, but that didn’t happen today because Paul, Bianca, & Howard we’re transparent from the beginning.
