The staff is friendly and the waiting area is comfortable, but my experiences since buying my X3 in December 2023 have been disappointing. 1. Purchase Delay – After agreeing to buy the car, I wa comfortable, but my experiences since buying my X3 in December 2023 have been disappointing. 1. Purchase Delay – After agreeing to buy the car, I waited four hours before seeing finance. 2. Drive Mode Button Issue – On the drive home, I noticed the drive mode buttons didn’t work and had no tactile feedback until the cabin warmed up. My first service visit resulted in “no problem found.” Weeks later, after more research and comparing with another BMW, I returned. This time, I was told I must have spilled a Coke on the panel—something I did not do. Only after pushing back was the issue fixed under warranty. Being blamed for a defect present at purchase was disappointing. 3. Alignment Issue – At my first oil change, I was told I needed an alignment. I agreed, but when I got home, I noticed there were no before / after readings provided. After I called for them, I saw the readings were identical or 0.1 degrees changed, and still out of spec in some areas. After contacting the service manager, I was refunded or offered a redo. I chose the redo, which was done correctly—after another 30-minute trip each way. 4. Unnecessary Maintenance – During a recall visit, I was offered my 30K service since I was at 27K miles. I have the maintenance contract so I agreed. I was then told I “needed” differential service for $1,500 in total, and it was not covered by the maintenance contract. Trusting the advisor, I agreed. Later, I checked my invoice and saw a fuel injector and fuel optimizer combo service was performed for $650 and the differential service was $800. The maintenance manual does not mention a fuel injector and optimizer combo service, and the differential service isn’t recommended until 50K miles. My invoice falsely listed them as “per customer request.” I shared all of this in their follow-up survey and never received a response. Bill Jacobs BMW has many great reviews, which is part of why I purchased here. Unfortunately, my experiences were the opposite. My trust is gone—and so is my business. More
