I was helped by Bill Earnest at Jacobs BMW. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ultimately did not buy a car there as I found some other options on line. Despite that fact, Bill followed up with me an knowledgeable and helpful. I ultimately did not buy a car there as I found some other options on line. Despite that fact, Bill followed up with me and offered to help with servicing and information on the car I bought. Clearly he is interested in great service and not just the sale. If I do buy a new BMW, it will certainly be from Bill. More
From the initiation of my visit to the dealership, Bill Earnest exemplified exquisite qualities of being both a respectful employee and caring and concerned individual. As soon as I entered the dealership, Earnest exemplified exquisite qualities of being both a respectful employee and caring and concerned individual. As soon as I entered the dealership, Bill extended a warm and hospitable welcome. I felt completely at ease as Bill began to question me about what I was interested in. After revealing my interests, Bill keenly identified my ideal purchase: a BMW X5. Bill vivaciously explained the numerous options and details offered with my purchase. With incredible patience, Bill thoroughly described every option I did not fully understand. After examining all the positives and negatives, I decided to make my decision to purchase the vehicle. In a completely stress and pressure free setting, I freely expressed my yearning to purchase the gorgeous BMW X5. In a relatively short amount of time, Bill seamlessly filled out all the necessary papers and documents. After a completely painless process, I opened the door to my new car and basked in the luxury. I reviewed my experience and realized how simple and effective it was, in great part to Bill's generous guidance. I am completely delighted with the quality of Bill's service and my new X5! From the time I walked in the dealership to the time that my vehicle was devlivered the employees were very warm and friendly.Even to this day, if I have had any questions they have been all answered and so my vehicle was devlivered the employees were very warm and friendly.Even to this day, if I have had any questions they have been all answered and so cooperative. After the delivery, everyone has been concerned that all my needs were met. I have never been this satisfied with a dealership as Bill Jacobs BMW than any other dealership. More
I would highly recommend Bill Jacobs BMW and especially Bill Earnest. From start to finish, Bill did his best to find the car I wanted for a price I could afford -- I am very satisfied with the rare 330i Z Bill Earnest. From start to finish, Bill did his best to find the car I wanted for a price I could afford -- I am very satisfied with the rare 330i ZHP with six speed manual he found for me. Another thing Bill will do is go the extra mile; I live in the City and realized I forgot to remove the City Sticker from my trade-in's windshield. I emailed Bill a day or two later and he went out to my old car to personally remove the sticker for me. Mind you, this is after I had already purchased a car from him -- the ink was more than dry and he certainly did not have to go to the extra trouble of removing the sticker but he did. I was so impressed with the service, roughly one month later my fiancee and I returned to see Bill Earnest and Kevin Jacobs and ended up with a pristine X5 trade-in for her before it ever went public. One constant throughout the entire purchase of both cars was how everyone, not just Bill and Kevin, treated you like family there. Granted, one is bound to get some smiles thrown his way at a dealership in which he just purchased a vehicle, but you can't help but notice the genuine feel from every employee. These guys just 'get it' when it comes to customer service. If you want a genuine, honest car buying experience you owe it to yourself to pay Bill Jacobs BMW a visit. More
by the way they handle business. This is my 2nd poor experience with Bill Jacobs in the past 3 years. The first time I was looking to lease a 5-series and the dealer started to show me the 3 series cars experience with Bill Jacobs in the past 3 years. The first time I was looking to lease a 5-series and the dealer started to show me the 3 series cars. After I told him that I wanted a higher model he answered in a completely rude manner and suggested that "my people" just come in and solicit without actually purchasing, therefore I left. Now I did not want to come back to them, but I needed to buy an SUV and closed the deal on a BMW X5. I thought I would be getting the car and they had began the order, however, two days later I get a call from them saying I can't get the car unless I pay extra $2,000. Although the money is not the deal here, putting up the price AFTER having closed the deal does make a difference, because it is the principal at hand. They constantly lied to me about the demand then tried to essentially hustle me. I left immediately and have instead purchased an Audi Q7 and could not be more satisfied. Honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had purchasing a car. I was warned by several people before but I thought I would support community dealers, never going back to these people. I can't explain to you enough how dissatisfied I am because of the crap they tried to pull on me, I feel like small retailers are better at customer treatment than Bill Jacob's BMW dealership. More
I have purchased 2 cars from Bill Jacobs BMW and will never go to another dealership. I came in looking for a very specific 3 series but wanted a used car so that it fit my budget. I ended up buying a never go to another dealership. I came in looking for a very specific 3 series but wanted a used car so that it fit my budget. I ended up buying a slightly used car with EVERYTHING that I wanted and was in and out in under 4 hours. Additionally, I live in Chicago and made the trip out to Naperville because I knew the quality of service I would get from Bill Jacobs would clearly surpass any other dealership. Through this car buying experience I worked with Matthew Laxton and HIGHLY recommend that everyone who goes to Bill Jacobs asks to work with him. He was extremely knowledgable on the product, I had come in with my research already done and knew exactly what I wanted and he made that happen. My father, who used to be a carsalesman for over 10 years, ended up leaving the dealership because he was not needed. My father was so impressed with Matt and knew that Matt was going to give us the best price possible that he left me to do the negotiating (which never happened because Matt immediately offered what I needed). Since I was buying a used car that had come in the day before I bought it, there were a few cleanup items that needed to be done before I took it. Matt inspected the car himself and found every slight imperfection in the car and had everything taken care of. The car was absolutely flawless, basically brand new!!! Matt spent a full hour setting up my personal settings and running through every single feature of the car. He never rushed me or pressured me at all. He was very honest and genuinely happy for me once I found the car that I bought!!! He has followed up with me over 3 times over the past month via phone and email to make sure that everything is going great and make sure I didn't have any more questions. I have never been more happy with a purchase and have never felt more appreciated or like I was the only customer that Matt had!!! I will definitely stay in contact with Matt because I would never want to work with another salesperson after this experience. I bought a car on a Saturday (the most busy time to buy a car) and it was the easiest and seamless experience I've had. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a BMW (new or used) go to Bill Jacobs and ask to work with Matt. I assure you that you will not have to check on the prices or worry about being taken advantage of, you will get the best deal possible here and Matt will make sure of that. More
A very good experience overall. The sales person I had, Bill Earnest, was excellent: he was patient, forthcoming, was really trying to be as accommodating as possible and even when he got swamped with othe Bill Earnest, was excellent: he was patient, forthcoming, was really trying to be as accommodating as possible and even when he got swamped with other customers (while we went to take lunch a few new shoppers came in) he did his best to pay as much attention to us as possible. I would have given a rating of 5, but there were some minor incidents that detracted from the experience. For one, after the deal was done we were not congratulated on our purchase, or had shaken hands or anything of the kind. Granted I visibly got the Finance Manager, who lead us out, frustrated during the closing (it wasn’t confrontational, just not cooperative I guess - he was trying to sell us some additional insurance on the car, and I didn’t want to buy it, at least not for the price he was offering). Also the gas tank was almost empty when we got the tank – I could be mistaken, but my understanding it is a common courtesy to fill up the tank of the vehicle. There were also only two bolts per license plate on the car and my wife asked if two more per plate could be added for esthetic purposes – our understanding was that they will add some, but in the end they were not added and no one said anything about that to us. Once again, not a big deal, but we felt like we were promised something and didn’t get it. Another thing, that as a matter of principle almost broke the deal, was a missing accessory. During our initial shopping we pointed out that the Bluetooth dongle was missing and the way we understood it the dealership was going to provide it. When we came to pick up the car they said they didn’t have it (granted it was a MBenz at a BMW dealership). They were willing to lower the finance rate a little, so we worked it out in the end, but still a minor gripe. All in all the experience was very positive and I highly recommend this dealership and sales person Bill Earnest in particular (although we had Matt Laxton cover for Bill on our final visit and he seemed just as pleasant to work with). There are so many horror stories (as one might expect when two parties with competing interests are pitted against each other) when it comes to car shopping and our experience was on the opposite side of the spectrum – all things considered, it is difficult to imagine a more positive experience. Worst mechanical experience of all time. Brought my BMW 645 in because I had a trunk light coming on. I was told it would be covered under waranty, but of course it wasnt. Then I asked to also have an oil 645 in because I had a trunk light coming on. I was told it would be covered under waranty, but of course it wasnt. Then I asked to also have an oil change done, thinking it would be like $50. Yet it was a $250 oil change and I never was told that. Then I get my car back and it had a big scratch on the back and my custom $2000 radar detector wasnt working. So I get the car back worse then it was when I brought it in. Then I have to bring it back so they can fix this and I get a flat tire, so I ahve them look at that and of course its $500 AND then later they say the rim was also cracked.... Another $500. Then I get it back and of course the radar detector still isnt working! Then I drive it 10 miles and the flat tire light comes back on. All very suspicious and overall the worst mechanic experience ever. Im not even brining it back to have them fix this radar detector that they broke, because I feel I will just have something else go wrong. Do yourself a favor and take your BMW ANYWHERE But Bill Jacobs BMW. More
I like to deal with car salespersons like you like to go to the dentist. But this time my purchasing experience was completely different. I worked with Bill Earnest and I've got the best customer service I' to the dentist. But this time my purchasing experience was completely different. I had a wonderful experience with the purchase of my new 2011 X5 at Bill Jacobs Naperville. The facility is outstanding and offers a professional atmosphere.
