We were there to get a specific car we saw online, 2016 Toyota Corolla. Test drove it and decided yes that is the one she wants. Arrived at 3pm. Decided by 3:30 PM. (Daughter had gone to her bank and was quoted $250 a month for $12,000 over 60 months. But could go down based on the make/model and year of the car she is buying. But couldn't get them the VIN Number until Monday for this car to get the final numbers.) Issue started when Trent brings us back 4 different "Monthly payments" based on down payment. That was the first clue. Why was the sales guy giving us monthly payments? Trent tells us that her credit score could not be pulled because it is locked. Now I know you can freeze your credit with the three different reporting agencies. But that was not done by my daughter. She doesn't know how to do that. Is this something her bank did? She will ask her bank about it on Monday. They were pulling from Experian. OK, wife and I had just tried to get our credit reports from Experian the day before and could not, something with their web site. But we were able to use the other two, Equifax and TransUnion. So we asked Trent to have them try one of them. Also at that time I decided to co sign for the loan. Trent comes back with the same thing. Can't get her credit score because it is 'locked' but mine was 640 or 650, can't remember now. But the same thing with the monthly payment thing. Why are we not seeing interest rates? Now in Trent's defense, he is only bring us what their finance guy is giving him. Why we are wasting all our time going back and for like this is beyond me. Maybe he was busy with other customers in his office? Finally agree on down payment and get to meet this finance guy, Darryl Humbracht. Nice guy. Very friendly. We still do not know the interest rate or bank. I have never bought a car from a dealership where they didn't have at least 2 or 3 different banks with similar or even extremely different interest rates. Not here though. No we were being kept in the dark for some reason. Darryl goes into the sales pitch on the extended warranties. I normally get this but when we saw that the monthly payment was going to go up $100+ for a $1500 extended warranty I had to stop him. I asked what the interest rate was. He said 12% because they could not get her credit score. At this point I was pissed off about the interest rate. I just wanted to get out of there. I wanted to just leave but she had her heart set on this car. I said we would NOT getting the extended warranty (because of the monthly payments). That is when Darryl started in the off hand comments about letting my daughter drive a car that could cost her thousands of dollars in repairs. He made several of these comments and it wasn't appreciated at all. I don't need someone to throw a guilt trip at me to try and sell me something. That is a sure fire way to loose a sale from me. Needless to say we will have the finance ready before we deal with them again and by pass the finance guy. He made feel like he was trying to bully us into buying the extended warranty. Bottom line, Car seems to be in real good condition. Sales person, Trent, was very nice and helpful. Finance person, Darryl, was not pleasant to work with at all. More

Steve McCauley was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He took the time to explain the new car buying process to my daughter (as this was her first time buying a new car) and made sure all her q helpful.
