The worst customer service both by Khol Young and Juan Vasquez. They are the most unprofessional individuals I have ever had to work with. They are going on a month of having my elderly mother's car and c Vasquez. They are the most unprofessional individuals I have ever had to work with. They are going on a month of having my elderly mother's car and continuously giving false dates when the vehicle would be finished. This is the warranty coverage for paint damage and blame Hyndai and the paint shop for their misleading information. If I could provide zero stars I would because 1 star is still too much for their professionalism and how they treat the elderly. More

The Manager of the Service Department, Kohl Young, "Mansplained" how to install a windshield to me. Also, instead of doing their jobs, they take lots of smoke breaks. They don't return phone calls. Th "Mansplained" how to install a windshield to me. Also, instead of doing their jobs, they take lots of smoke breaks. They don't return phone calls. They had my vehicle for 18 days for a recalled windshield and had the parts for 7 days and yet my car was still not repaired. They wouldn't give me a loaner so I was without a vehicle for 18 days. And then when I would call for an update both Kaleb and the managers dodged calls. Then they talk to women like they are stupid. More

Not very honest when dealing with warranty issues. They find ways not to honor your warranty. They will work the angle that you have not changed your oil per Hyundai maintenance guidelines telling you it s find ways not to honor your warranty. They will work the angle that you have not changed your oil per Hyundai maintenance guidelines telling you it should be performed per sever duty service and not per Hyundai normal service. This never happened when the dealership was Ron Carter Hyundai. My daughter's Santa Fe has only 41k miles, 4 years old and has had the turbo replaced 2 times. Ron Carter Hyundai replaced it the first time per Hyundai warranty and Big Star Hyundai 11k miles later claimed it failed per sever duty mileage guidelines. Also her car set on their lot over 4 months for them to get the part. Please do not use Big Star very dishonest. The manager got very angry with me when i discussed warranty issues and oil changes, also that I had bought 2 Hyundai from Ron Carter and their service was outstanding but due to your shady practices I decided to purchase my wife's new 2022 Hyundai Palisade from a different dealership paying cash and would never ever consider doing any business with you. Do not do business with this dishonest business. More

Big Star Hyundai is a rip off do not do business with them. They advertise $39.95 oil changes but when you get there the price is over $80 unless you buy a package of three for $129. I bought my Hyunda them. They advertise $39.95 oil changes but when you get there the price is over $80 unless you buy a package of three for $129. I bought my Hyundai new when it was Ron Carter and have had all my oil changes done for the past two years at that facility. As I have always done I scheduled my appointment online (less than 2 weeks ago) with it showing the $39.95 price but when I got there this morning it was $82. In fact it was still showing the $39.95 price when I pulled it up and showed them this morning. When I questioned them about it the manager simply told me the price went up, but he did say I could get it for $42 if I wanted to buy the three oil change package for $129. RIP-OFF. BOTTOM LINE IS YOU BETTER BE READY TO PAY DOUBLE IF YOU SCHEDULE THROUGH THEIR ONLINE WEBSITE. More
Purchased a 2021 Venue in December and have had my second experience with the service department at Ron Carter in Friendswood. I called to speak to a service advisor or manager on the phone (the chat option experience with the service department at Ron Carter in Friendswood. I called to speak to a service advisor or manager on the phone (the chat option is a real bust - they can't help and don't get back to you), held for a brief time, then was told they were all too busy to take my call. I was asked to leave a message and told them I would but knew they would not call me back. Guess what, they did not. So I went in to the dealership the next day. About 6 service advisors, at least half playing on their phones - two looked up to see if they could help me. First I asked about them getting the message to call me back - deer in the headlights. Looked my name up on the computer... still nothing. So was asked what I needed... Asked about the 3 year, 36,000 mile complimentary service I was told I would receive with the purchase of my new Venue (confirmed this via the internet since the chat person, nor the person on the phone could tell me If I had this benefit). Told the service advisor (a very nice person) that I have always changed the oil in my vehicles at 3,000 miles - I was a professional mechanic for 10 years myself. Said my vehicle had 2,800 miles now but was planning a long trip and didn't want make the trip before changing my oil. Here's the Ron Carter/Hyundai response: Hyundai recommends oil changes at 7,000 miles, but we live in the Houston area which is considered a harsher environment where they recommend 3,700 mile oil changes. So, here's the way your complementary oil changes will work: Ron Carter will pay for your first change at 3,700 (won't do it before then), then Hyundai will pick up the 7,000 mile change, then YOU PAY for the next change, then Hyundai for the 14,000 mile, then YOU PAY, then... etc., etc. So, Hyundai recommends 3,700 mile changes in the place I live and purchased my car but the complimentary changes only apply to places I don't live - huh? Good job Ron Carter! Perhaps you might want to let the customer know just what your "complementary" oil changes will cost them up front. But remember to change the oil at 3,700 miles or the warranty might be voided (they did not tell me this but I know how this thing works). It's going to be a long haul until my car is out of warranty and I don't have to go to the Ron Carter service department for my "complementary and warranty" work. Next closest dealer is down in Texas City and I'm sure they don't want my business since I didn't buy my car from their dealership... but they do offer warranty for life! More
Purchased a 2021 Venue here and had a good experience. Called the service department to get a price on installing a hitch - I would do it myself but didn't want to void any warranties. The first woman I Called the service department to get a price on installing a hitch - I would do it myself but didn't want to void any warranties. The first woman I talked to said they would have to diagnose the vehicle... $145. Really, why steal $145 from a customer to give a price on installing a new hitch! Nothing to diagnose, new parts and labor - I have worked as a service manager and mechanic. Went to chat, and after too many questions about information. They did not need I was told they would get back to me. They didn't. I seriously doubt that this service department employs people who take phone calls that know anything about cars or service! Chat people won't follow through on their commitments. Would give them zero stars but it was not an option. More
Adrian Chapa is awesome. He scheduled my Hyundai quickly for the replacement of the window regulator that failed. While there, they replaced belts per the maintenance schedule and all was done the same day. for the replacement of the window regulator that failed.
