Thanks for the business we really appreciate it! We only hope that now that you have your vehicle your happy! Sometimes its hard when we are relying on 3 different transport companies to ship a vehicle from the factory to here. It first is sent by a truck to a rail yard. And then loaded on to a train, moved across the country and then loaded on a truck to bring it to the dealership. I hope you were happy with the great price you received! And we hope you can forgive us for taking so long for your Jeep to arive from the factory! Thanks again!

Since a couple of months has passed I thought I would go ahead and send a quick update about my vehicle purchase. After lengthy emails and phone calls to Mr. Martinez & Lincoln, I finally got the radio I was promised. Of course, after it was installed, it didn't work correctly and I had to take it back in for an antenna installation. I would think this should of been noticed during one of the two radio installations, but nevertheless, I now have my new radio and have enjoyed it. Thank you Lincoln for making that happen. I do honestly feel like nothing would have ever been done if I hadn't been persistant with this dealership. And, much to my disappointment, my orignal sales person is still employed at this location - so beware, he works in internet sales. This makes me really doubt their desire to be a more improved dealership, especially in the area of customer service. And, since I am doing an update... a few weeks back (on a Thursday)I went in to have the antenna installation done and I was able to get familiar with the "service" department. Let me just say, I stick with my rating of "1" with the Quality of Work & Quality of Customer Service within this department as well. I scheduled a time with Lincoln to bring in my car for the installation of the antenna kit (that took two weeks to come in). I decided that I might as well get my first oil change done since the car would already be there. I got a call the next day from the service dept. and they told me there was a specific technician that needed to look at the radio. Of course, the technician would not be in until the following Monday. Remember - this was a "scheduled" appointment that I made through Lincoln - a sales manager. I decided to leave the vehicle there, since I had already made so many trips to this dealership. So, on Monday (yes, 5 days later), the service guy calls me and says I need an antenna to make my radio work and he would have to order one!! Keep in mind, my original reason for bringing the car in was to get the antenna installed, because I was told the part had finally come in. I told the service guy to get with Lincoln because he had already ordered the part and he had told me it was already there and ready to be installed. The service man refused to check with Lincoln on this and told me "he was just doing his job and would put the part on order". I hung up with him and called Lincoln. Lincoln did finally get with him that day and the antenna did get installed. Bascially, the right arm dosen't know what the left arm is doing at this place! There is no communication at this dealership!! They make every experience way more complicated than it needs to be. I did get my vehicle back on that Monday, and my radio now works as it should. Oh... I almost forgot... on my way home from the dealership my windshield-wiper fluid light came on. So, when you pay $30+ for an oil change, keep in mind they obviously don't check your fluids. I went and had my oil changed again because I'm not sure they even really changed it.

We are so upset over this whole transaction. There was a honest mis-communication with the customer and the salesman. There was "too many chefs in the kitchen" The customer dealt with 3 different people before the sale and different things were told to all the sales people. A base car was purchased that was not even Sirius capable. As a dealership we ate the cost of two radios, one was $800 the next was $2000. We also gave the customer free window tint which was $300 and payed for and installed a sirius antenna kit that cost $400 plus labor. As you can see we did put our best foot forward to rectify the problem. Mis-understandings do happen, but would any other dealership give a customer over $3500 worth of free goods to make them happy? We are sorry this turned out so bad! But we want everyone to know that we do try to make people happy!

Just to keep things “real” & “honest” here… I just can’t let this response from Clear Lake Dodge go unnoted. Regarding the window tinting & radio upgrade --- I paid extra for that! I paid for the full window tinting (which still has bubbles) and ½ the radio upgrade. None of this was “free”. It was all part of the sales negotiations with John (in internet sales – my salesperson). Regarding the radio… I realize the car style that I chose didn’t have the satellite radio included when I bought it. I had purchased my own mobile satellite radio for my original Charger (which was also a “basic” style Charger) and had it installed on my own. The agreement between John & I was to have the antenna and car kit removed from my original Charger and install it in my new one, which he said he would work out with the service depart. When the service dept. went to do this, they cut the antenna. John’s response to this was that “he owed me an antenna kit or a satellite radio”. I then came back to the dealership at least 3 or 4 times to look at the different radio choices for my new car. Every time my daughter and I went in there John left us in the waiting room for hours. Finally, at one point he had a female salesperson take me over to the parts department to look at the radios. It was basically a waste of time because she didn’t know which radios I was able to choose from. She spoke with John and one of the suggestions was to have an outside company install the radio to save them on their cost. I didn’t feel comfortable going that route because I wanted the radio to be covered under the 5-year extended warranty that I was badgered into getting. Finally, after another hour or so passed he asked the same salesperson to show me the radio he had in his truck and said this was the radio he would have installed for me because of all my troubles. I said great, let’s make it happen. Then, the radio was placed on order… so I was told. After a couple of weeks passed I contacted the General Manager for help because John wasn’t answering any of my calls or returning any of my messages. The General Manager put Lincoln (a sales mgr) in charge of my transactions from that point on. Lincoln then ordered the radio (since it had never been ordered) and it came in a week or so later. After it was installed and I went to pick up my car I noticed that the radio installed was not the radio I was promised. I was so upset about the whole mess, I went ahead and accepted it and moved on. I was told my Sirius would be working the following day. This became a 2 or 3 week ordeal, until it was decided the car wasn’t set-up for Sirius radio. Keep in mind, my other car was not either. I had to have the antenna installed on my own, which was supposed to happen in this new car. But, their service guys ruined that option. Finally, I got a call from Lincoln saying they had a radio (the one that the original salesperson had promised me) from another vehicle they could install in mine. He agreed to install the radio and Mr. Martinez agreed to have the antenna kit ordered. The main point I’m making here is that I would have been fine with the 1st upgraded radio (that I paid for) if the service department hadn’t cut and ruined my original satellite antenna. Like I said in one of my previous posts… this company makes everything so much harder than it has to be! Just be honest with your customers. Don’t make promises and guarantees that you can’t fulfill. I was a VERY patient customer with this dealership. But… after the 8th & 9th trip to their dealership I was tired of being walked on and ignored. TRUST ME when I say Clear Lake Dodge did not give me anything for “free” and I am appalled they would even print something like that. They can sugar-coat what they did all they want and lying is just part of their nature. If you’re considering buying a car from them, just do your homework – I wished I would have!
