I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your dealership. Considering my experience with your organization, I expect that providing this information is a waste of my tim recent experience at your dealership. What should have been a straightforward transaction has instead become an ongoing source of frustration due to poor communication, lack of follow-through, incomplete paperwork, and an apparent disregard for customer service. Throughout this process, I have repeatedly found myself having to initiate contact simply to obtain basic information and updates. Calls and messages have gone unanswered, promised follow-ups have not occurred, and commitments made by dealership staff, Cindy Miranda, have not been honored in a timely manner. She specifically told me she was mailing documents to my home via FedEx four (4) separate times and never did so. I might understand once, but 4 times tells me you never intended to follow up. As a customer, I should not have to chase down information that your team has a responsibility to provide. Simply a terrible experience with your finance department. Contacting anyone else in the organization with any authority is also not possible as the voicemailbox for the GM “was full” and whomever I was connected to in charge of finance never called back. These deficiencies have created unnecessary inconvenience and raised concerns about the professionalism and organization of your dealership. You collected approximately $3500 in taxes and/or registration/plate fees and never submitted those monies to the State of Louisiana causing me excessive aggravation in trying to clean up your incompetence. Simply a terrible experience with your finance department. Most disappointing, however, has been the overall lack of consideration shown toward me as a customer. Purchasing a vehicle represents a significant financial commitment, and customers deserve transparency, responsiveness, and respect throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience has reflected the opposite. I believe customers have a reasonable expectation that a dealership will communicate effectively, fulfill its commitments, and ensure all required documentation is handled properly. In my case, those expectations were not met. I hope this letter serves as an opportunity for your management team to review these issues and take meaningful steps to improve customer service standards. No customer should have to endure the level of frustration and inconvenience that I have experienced. I do wish to offer compliments to Kevin Thai. As a Retired Military Veteran I caution all my Military Personnel from this dealership. It has been about a year now and there have been nothing but headaches since purchasing a vehicle from Big Star Ram. Personnel from this dealership. I bought a brand new 2025 Ram 1500 lifted and just leaving the parking lot I had to return cause the battery went dead. After replacing the battery on the way home to the valley, the screen went blank. Turns our the screen had to be replaced a long with the radio module. Soon after that (like a week) things stopped working inside the vehicle and it turns out the accessory battery was also bad and had to be replaced. This was all within the first month. Then I purchased the warranties that I very specifically asked if I can use in McAllen cause that's where I lived and they said yes, but that was not true. I took my truck to get its initial services via the warranty I purchased and to my surprise I could only be used from the purchasing dealership. I'm still waiting on a supposed refund that I have yet to see and its been a year. Then I got pulled over for speeding. When they put on the lift kit they did not sync the gauge with the oversized tires. There I go thinking I'm following the 70 mile limit and instead I'm clocked at 80. I take it in for them to sync the speedometer and again to my surprise, it could only be done in Houston or I had to pay for the service. There went another $400 dollars. I tried getting help for most of my issues from my sales person Brittany, but she was always unhelpful and rude. Like I was bothering them with my problems when they are the ones that sold me the vehicle. To top it off, I had to use my second key and it failed to work (shocker). Thinking it was the battery, I replaced it and still nothing. Now I have to take that to the local dealership in which I'm sure I will be charged again to program it. I caution anyone purchasing from this dealership to think long and hard. I would recommend purchasing from somewhere else or at a minimum be from the area in which you can talk to people in person. If could go back and redo the purchase I would have walked away. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but now I know why it was a good deal, they probably knew this vehicle was LEMON!!! This would be a lower rating if possible but you the point, vent over. More
Wife and I have bought 3 vehicles from this place, have inquired about plenty more and have had nothing but bad experiences. The only thing good is the inventory. Had to go directly through the sales manager by way of a friend to get treated properly and get the vehicle I wanted. Years later saw a truck I wanted, set up an appointment, got passed off to another salesperson who didn’t care at all. Looked for the vehicle I wanted….. “sorry someone just purchased that”…. Thanks for wasting my time. Thought years later the service department might be different. Dropped my truck off and the service lady and guy that I dealt with were great and friendly but at the end of the day….. picked my truck up a week later… check engine light came right back on. Can’t win with this team. Will NEVER go back. More
The service representative did not demonstrate or understand oil weight (viscosity). When asked for the factory recommendations I was told “I don’t usually do diesels.” This has nothing to do with ba understand oil weight (viscosity). The qualified personnel appear to have been let go. I had a frontend alignment done and my steering wheel was not centered. I had to pay another shop to fix this. I am done with big star. No more. The communication was unprofessional as well. I was told my vehicle would be done the same day. It was not. I couldn’t get a reply to my text messages so i had to visit the dealership in person for status. When i pulled in the parking lot my vehicle was sitting first in the outbound side of the service portico area, washed and ready to go yet i could not get any responses to my inquiries over the phone. On top of that someone at the dealership “gave” me free sirius this was free for 3 mo ths and then you have to cancel or they start billing. It’s a scam. I had to deal with those people to get them off me. All in all, absolute awful. I bought my truck there and have been loyal regarding all service. No more repairs, services or new vehicle purchases will be coming from me. I hope you get some benefit from this review. I have been pestered 3 times for it. Now you have it. More
