The dealership is small and clean. When I was looking to order and buy my new GMC Denali Ultimate I decided to go to Big Star because I figured that I would receive better service sin When I was looking to order and buy my new GMC Denali Ultimate I decided to go to Big Star because I figured that I would receive better service since they seemed more mom and pop by their ads on tv but that has not been the case. It seems that every time something needs to be done it is not something that is an easy fix or that they have parts for so I have to leave my truck. Luckily I do not drive my truck daily so I can leave it for days at a time. Like after I received a recall letter instructing me to take my truck in to have some missing pieces installed and the truck programmed because the dealership should have the parts or can get them. That took four days to just see what the truck needed for the recall with no other work done to the truck. To this day I have not heard from them about that recall item which was the front and rear parking assist. I think they are still waiting on the part from GM or maybe GM is still on strike, which they hadn't gone on yet when I took my truck in but I was told that was the reason for the delay. I am glad I took it to another high volume dealership that took care of the problem and gave me great service even during the strike. I will definitely be using the other dealership for all my service needs once my oil service plan is done with Big Star. Boy was I wrong for using a smaller dealership. Just like during my last oil change, I was going to leave my truck and pick it up the next day but because I lived outside the 15 mile radius from the dealership, I could not get an Uber ride home or back to the dealership. That wasn't told to me when I purchased the truck that I put every type of coverage that was available to purchase put on it. I live 19.4 miles from the dealership and they only cover up to 15 miles. The sales and finance people have always been top notch but the service and parts departments leave a lot to be desired. I am so glad that I can use those purchased coverages at any other dealership I choose because that is what I plan on doing. I still have two oil changes left on my service plan. I really wish I could get a refund on the service plan and take my business elsewhere. I just get tired of hearing excuses about why things take so long to get fixed or corrected. The other dealership definitely meets and exceeds my expectations. More
