Brought vehicle in for a head light. Was sent a quote from inspection for $1500 after talking with service advisor and accepting and agreeing to work she told me would end up being $3400 Was sent a quote from inspection for $1500 after talking with service advisor and accepting and agreeing to work she told me would end up being $3400. I still went a head with the work but I couldn’t understand how something is $1500 but turns into $3400. I asked why and was told not all the parts and labor cost are included on that quote. What’s the point of sending me a quote knowing that you will add on more than 60% more To the bottom line cost. On top of feeling like I was taken advantage of and tricked I brought my vehicle in around 9am on a Thursday waited for about an hour. After I went through this pricing fiasco I was told it will be needed for a day. Might be done tonight but most likely by the next morning. Which was fine. I called in the morning and was told mid afternoon. Not ideal but I get it so I was fine with it. I get a call around 3:30 and a message is left saying we are mostly done but they want it over night again. The tech will stay late to get it done but would like over night so he doesn’t “rush’ to get it done. Now I feel like if I ask for my vehicle this evening the work will be “rushed” and a the work won’t be done right and also feel like if I ask the tech to “work late” I am interfering with his home life. That also puts me in a horrible situation. Besides all of this I work in sales and driving around to customers is how I earn my living so now I had to go 2 full days with out a vehicle and my job is being effected by this. The service department worked diligently to solve my remote start problem. The TSB that I found and the knowledge the mechanics have about the Ram played a big part in the software update that needed to remote start problem. Bettenhausen Lockport’s service department was very helpful in helping me with the difficulties Stellantis gave me regarding needed warranty repairs. No one expects to have issues with a new car but unfortunately they happen and a dealership is the middleman oftentimes because communicating with the manufacturer is very difficult. I did t even buy the car from the location that was helping me and that is true customer service. More
