Many years of 5 star service I own two Toyota’s, a 2005 Prius and a 2011 Camry. Bernardi is the only place I’ve taken these cars and for good reason. All maintenance or repairs have been excellent. Second, their prices are very competitive. Third, they are honest. I’ve been told I don’t need to have something done when I don’t need it. Recall experience I received a recall notice from Toyota for brake master cylinder replacement. I called about 3 weeks ago and was told the parts were on backorder and I received a recall notice from Toyota for brake master cylinder replacement. I called about 3 weeks ago and was told the parts were on backorder and Bernardi Service would call me when the parts arrived. I recently decided to determine the status as the Service Dept did not call me back. I made and appointment and met a very nice young lady service representative (SR). She was excellent in getting my car examined on the first day and ordering the necessary parts (about 2 hour appointment); my second appointment for the actual servicing was the next day and my vehicle was promptly taken in for servicing. The SR reported after about 2 hours that the part was replaced and that the brakes needed bleeding, which could take some time. She offered me a free car rental or courtesy car transportation, which I decided to decline and wait for the repair to complete. I waited for about 8 hours total for the job completion. The SR was very gracious and ensured that the brakes were satisfactory to me. After a short drive, I concluded that they seemed very good. I said that I would continue to evaluate the next couple of days and if a problem, would return to Service Dept. The SR said that she would be very willing to ensure that the servicing was correct and meets customer satisfaction. The SR was excellent and did all that she could do to ensure I was satisfied with the repair. However, I was somewhat disappointed in a couple of things about the Service Dept.: 1. The lack of preparedness of the Service Dept to handle the Recall Repair due to backorder parts three weeks ago. This looks bad for both Toyota and Bernardi. 2. The "we will call you" when the parts are in. Three weeks expired and NO call. 3. The recall was for replacement of parts to prevent Front Brake failure. This could be a very serious problem (see 1 above). The TV commercial comes to mind - If the brakes don't stop you, something will" 4. The recall notice does not provide an estimate of time for repair. All repairs on vehicles are managed by Toyota's guide book on repair time. Toyota should disclose the maximum repair time for the servicing in the Recall Notice when it is sent to the customer. More

I don’t like that they don’t emphasize the price and tell you the monthly payment with. 72 month loan. I think takes advantage of people who don’t know better. Loan rate was good.
