I had no intention of purchasing a vehicle but on my way to Bass Pro I saw a Toyota Tacoma TRD at the front of the dealerships lot, it’s my favorite color, Inferno Orange, The color I plan on having my 1972 to Bass Pro I saw a Toyota Tacoma TRD at the front of the dealerships lot, it’s my favorite color, Inferno Orange, The color I plan on having my 1972 Toyota FJ 40 painted! I pulled off the interstate so fast onto the dealer lot and drove up to the truck hoping no sales person was going to come out and try to sell me something, I just wanted to see what the truck cost and the mileage, and no one came out I was able to look the truck over and decided the price was decent for what it was, I went in the dealership and had to find a sales associate. Which was a nice change from being ran down as soon as you come onto a dealership lot. The buying process was the easiest process my husband said we’ve ever been through and we purchased the truck, traded in my jeep and I’m a happy camper with an Inferno Orange Toyota Tacoma TRD! My wife and I stopped by yesterday to look at a pink 2020 Dodge Charger. I had talked to Hayli and we were going to come down after she left work so she set me up with Robert. Once we got to the dealership Dodge Charger. I had talked to Hayli and we were going to come down after she left work so she set me up with Robert. Once we got to the dealership they got Robert for us. We proceeded to look at the car. I asked Robert some questions about the price, interest rate Robert was honest and showed me everything, we Decided for they price we could get a new one for a little bit more. I have bought over 30 vehicles in my life and you don’t find many people that are as honest as Robert. More
Daily these folks are successfully working to shatter the old stereotypes and dread of buying a car. Hands down, best customer service and car buying experience in Arizona! My first experience with Berge the old stereotypes and dread of buying a car. Hands down, best customer service and car buying experience in Arizona! My first experience with Berge Toyota was 12 years ago and each time I’ve had the opportunity to buy a newer car, the Berge team always made me feel special, like a VIP! February the state of my beloved Prius was dyer and unsafe. Chris Lopez and Josh Hubble really put the leg work in to find the right fit for me and get me on the road again. So naturally when my February new car was totaled in an accident in May, I knew I could count on my friends at Berge to take care of me. There is such a feeling of family taking care of family atmosphere, everyone working for the best possible outcome for you. I’m so grateful! So if by any chance you find yourself needing to buy a car, then again within less than 6 months, the Berge Toyota team got your back! Big thank you to the owner Brent Berge, clearly committed to leading by example for the car industry in Arizona! More

Overall, my time here was just OK. Ramon Malave-Santiago was a good point of contact talk to and made my time here feel comfortable. But he didn't exactly talk me through the actual details of cars and whatnot. Scot Pleski on the other hand was the one to talk me through which cars are available as well as the car's features. He was ok to talk to, but for being a self-proclaimed "no pressure dealership", there was definitely pressure in selling me crap dealership addons like the "desert protection" and the "clear bra". When I asked if those could be removed (since I'm not interested in those features), they didn't give me a clear yes or no answer at first. Scot deflected my question and said "well most people get these addons because they see value in it" (or something similar along these lines). I personally do not see any value in these, and I am not "most people", so I don't know why I couldn't just get a simple yes/no answer. Although this dealership does not charge an addendum or any other arbitrary markup on vehicles that most dealerships do, the fact that this "desert protection package" is mandatory tells me otherwise. Berge Toyota claims to sell addons that add value to the vehicle, but if I do not see any value in it, does it increase the value of the vehicle to me? No. of course not. Because these features were mandatory, I chose to bring my business and my money somewhere else. I get that there are "shortages" and whatnot. I don't care about those excuses. All I wanted to do was to buy a vehicle and not be sold on extra dealership addons that I do not want. I was told that these vehicles sell quickly and often before they reach the lot. The fact that the salespeople had no problem with me walking out or calling me back right away shows that Berge Toyota simply values profit and addons rather than selling cars to people who need cars. I get that the purpose of a business is to make profit, but I argue that a good business tries to establish good relations with customers in hopes of them being repeat customers. I would happily be a repeat customer if my wants/needs for the vehicle were treated with respect, but unfortunately that did not happen to me today. To make my experience better, it would be nice if I could have a clear simple option to just buy the vehicle at a fair market price+fees without any of the extra crap the dealer wants to sell me. I'm not a stingy person. I'm not trying to negotiate well below MSRP as long as my buying experience is smooth and comfortable It'll make for a very quick, smooth transaction that would leave me a better impression of Berge Toyota and dealerships in general. After driving 40 minutes home, I got a call from customer service. They mentioned that they'd be willing to take off the clear bra but keep the desert protection package as it was mandatory. I declined because of course I do not see value in that, but they did mention that they'd contact me if I can get a vehicle without any dealership added profit makers. I personally do not feel comfortable or optimistic about this, but if I am able to simply get the car as-is without any dealership "added value" features, then I will rescind my negative reviews of this place and be a happy customer. Today was a disappointing waste of my long weekend. Overall, my experience is rated 2 stars. This dealership isn't scummy and actually is transparent about the components that make up the final price, but I find it appalling that they have mandatory addons that are effectively an arbitrary markup in disguise.
