We spoke to our Service Department regarding your concern and the last service performed by us was simply an oil change. This would never require the removal of a complete engine cover due to the oil cap being separately located from the cover. Upon receipt of your complaint we spoke with our Service Department about your issue. The computer monitors several hundred items. Each item is independently assigned a code number. Each time the check engine light comes on it doesn't necessarily mean the same issue even though the symptoms may be similar. It was reviewed with the customer that the part failures from June were totally different from the most recent part failures. Customer was shown the code numbers from the diagnostic printout from previous repair versus the printout and code numbers from the most recent diagnosis. All repairs are backed by Nissan for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, for the same part failure. Since the most recent failure was not the same as the one in June, the parts warranty would not apply.
