We recently went to trade in our Scion TC that we got at this dealership, we went back to this dealership cause it was close. The dealer looked at the car and told us what they were going to give us for the this dealership, we went back to this dealership cause it was close. The dealer looked at the car and told us what they were going to give us for the vehicle. We then went to look at VW's and they told us that the car had a bad CARFAX. Well we find out that the car had an accident before they even sold it to anyone. Toyota never told us this, either the first time they sold us the car or the time we went to trade it in. I FIND THIS EXTREMELY DISGUSTING, they screw with us car buyers with shady tactics anyway, then they cant even be honest about the history of the vehicle! It probably wouldnt have made a difference but just the fact they withheld information for their own gain is xxxxxxxx. Bell Road Toyota you suck and deserve what your getting rated on here. More
The service dept of this dealer is awful. I went in to have a full $300 service on my van in preparaton fr an 3000 mile road trip. I paid $300 fo this service. To make a long story short, they charged me have a full $300 service on my van in preparaton fr an 3000 mile road trip. I paid $300 fo this service. To make a long story short, they charged me for parts they "say" they replaced, but never did. This but my family an 2 small hildren in severe danger. One of theseparts was the windsield wipers. While dark on the road in th middle on no where it sratarts pouring and my wipers dont work. So I hve to pull over and sit for hours, because I cant see. The next day, I have to go spend mopney on new ones. When I get back into town, I speak the manager adn he appologizes, admids they did not chang prts out adn gives me a 20 dollar credit on an oil change Wich by the way doesnt even cover theprice f the new ones I had to buy!!!! This service departmnt taks advantag of woman because they thin we dont know bettr. Thn their management after admitting they are wrong, is pittful in showing the customer they are a prioriy!! I woul NOT use this service departmenet. More
YUP - GAME PLAYERS, DEAL BREAKERS! There is no coming to terms with these guys. After sitting down and specifically indicating a "no manure" policy, they continued to play games with me. The salesman sent terms with these guys. After sitting down and specifically indicating a "no manure" policy, they continued to play games with me. The salesman sent me home with a test drive car - with no key to start it once I got there. He had it! They gave every indication for a deal and left us WAITING, AND WAITING, AND WAITING. Telling one deal and rescinding it in the next moment. In the end, we were $650 off from a deal, and they couldn't seal it. Then they forgot to give me my car registration. What a waste! Don't bother with these guys!! Just keeping walking to the next Toyota dealer! More
My salesman was Robin Conant. He was nice enough, but the salesmen have absolutely nothing to do with the sale, other than finding which car to put you in. I have no grievances with him. He had nothing to do salesmen have absolutely nothing to do with the sale, other than finding which car to put you in. I have no grievances with him. He had nothing to do with the "deal". The rest of the sales staff are dishonest and the biggest game players ever! I told them right off I didn't want to play their games and to just be honest with me. NOT! They played all the games (you can even find the games online - written by an undercover salesman). I should have walked out when the games began, but I stayed. I finally got the car down to what I thought was a fair price and we waited, and waited and waited! Finally we were taken into the finance office. BEWARE!!!!! I'm convinced this is where they make a lot of profit. Very high pressure and little information about the add ons you are nearly forced to purchase. They are NOT cheap and you could do much better buying them on your own elsewhere - after purchase. BEWARE! The interest rate was too high also. Get your financing elsewhere! Oh never mind, just don't step onto this property unless you want to be taken for a ride! My take: these are high pressure salesmen that are not considering their customers, they are just after as much money as they can squeeze out of you! They are dishonest and will look you in the eye and lie to you! I will drive much further to avoid them at all costs and suggest you do the same. More
We have been loyal customers with them in the past and purchased 2 vehicles from them. We called to get some information and the person was very rude and unfriendly. In this market, I would assume that th purchased 2 vehicles from them. We called to get some information and the person was very rude and unfriendly. In this market, I would assume that they would go out of their way to be cordial and welcome customers and answer question. They must be doing that well that they can treat their clients like garbage. We will never purchase there ever again. We will be purchasing from another Toyota Dealer. One I have been to in scottsdale, they are friendly there and always willing to answer question we may have. They are a lot farther than we'd like to drive, however I am willing to travel to get excellent customer service. Our next vehicle will NOT be from Bell Road Toyota! More
Bell Road Toyota could change their name to "Scamelot". It has to be one of the worst businesses I've ever dealt with. They seem to be dishonest both in sales and in service. I was hoping to just start t It has to be one of the worst businesses I've ever dealt with. They seem to be dishonest both in sales and in service. I was hoping to just start the process of buying another car, a Toyota, because I had previously had a great Toyota truck. Also, I wanted to save up more money for the purchase. No such luck!!! I got talked into an '06 used Toyota (which I found out later, had been used as a rental car) by J.C. with "What can I do to make you buy this car?", even after I told him I'd come back if I was interested. When I drove out of the lot with my "new" used car several hours later, I knew I had made a mistake. I went back with a friend an hour later to try and return it but figured they probably wouldn't let me do that since I had signed for it. I was able to return if for a less expensive car but was talked into an extended warranty for $2600 (or 12,000 miles). I went across the street to another dealer and they checked the car and said it needed a new master brake cylinder and that they could give me an extended warranty for much less. Bell Road Toyota finally fixed the master cylinder because I had a 30 day warranty but when I said I wanted to cancel the extended warranty, the lienance director, Tom K., said I couldn't. I insisted, and he finally agreed to cancel it, but I was afraid they might pull another trick and not shred the extended warranty contract. Everything at this dealership was a hassle: They misplace the vehicles second set of keys and found them 2 days later (after I called); they said I was approved for a loan and wasn't (I received a letter from Chase saying why I wasn't approved) after I secured by own loan. If I had only gone with my original plan of walking out, I could have avoided this baloney. I called Toyota.com to file a complaint against this dealership, but I knew it was useless. The survey I completed for Toyota asked me how I rated the customer service rep., not the dealership. What a joke!!! I will NEVER go back to Bell Road Toyota, not will I ever buy another Toyota - PERIOD!! Buyer, truly beware, if you go to this dealership!!! More
I broke my own rule by going to a dealer but these guys are the worst. I don't believe it is possible for them to tell the truth. The car showed showed no problems in the CarFax but come to find out they h are the worst. I don't believe it is possible for them to tell the truth. The car showed showed no problems in the CarFax but come to find out they had bought the car wrecked and did half xxx repairs just to sell it.They falsified the Carfax! They refused to give my money back when I found out. (24 hours). The paint is coming off the entire back of the car where they repaired it. There are probably good dealers around but this certainly isn't one of them More
Very rude sales staff.Once they had our money, they left us to the dogs as far as the vehicle was concerned. Only after we stopped payment on our check were they willing to take the vehicle back. All we want us to the dogs as far as the vehicle was concerned. Only after we stopped payment on our check were they willing to take the vehicle back. All we wanted was to have them fix a broken window that they neglected to point out at the time of sale. They wouldn't fix it and wanted us to pay an additional $400.00 for the repair. All they did was quote Arizona law and how they were not required to fix the vehicle. This dealership has NO concept of what good customer service is. They should be ashamed of themselves.Do not deal with these people ( Bell Road Toyota) or you are just asking for trouble. We have gone to another dealer who was not only friendly and helpful, but they gave is a 60 day warranty on the vehicle.Bell Road Toyota advertises that they want you as a customer for life. The way they treat customers will never make that happen. We will never go back.NEVER. More
Do not go to this dealership. Reading the previous review I can't believe it. They did pretty much the same thing to me. I brought the vehicle in for the 90,000 mile service. There was nothing wron review I can't believe it. They did pretty much the same thing to me. I brought the vehicle in for the 90,000 mile service. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle as far as I knew I was just trying to be good and bring it in for service. Well, at 3pm they give me a call and tell me that I need a $1,600 repair (interesting that this is the same number as the previous review!!!). The recommendation was that I replace the "front lower control arm cracked bushings". I COULD NOT get a straight answer out of the guy as to whether this was truly a safety issue or it was something that could wait until I ACTUALLY NOTICED SOMETHING. Well, I declined that but he convinced me to get new brake pads, again even though I had noticed NO SYMPTOMS of the brakes needing work. But he got me anyway - I guess I can be a sucker sometimes. When I arrived to pick up the car he also informed me that they told me about the suggested repair 6 months ago when I brought the vehicle in. Well, nothing happened in that 6 months including the fact that I noticed NO PROBLEMS with the vehicle - oh except when I LEFT the dealership at that time there was a NEW sqealing noise that happened when we backed out of the driveway. So now I'm wondering if they had anything to do with these problems (I mean, did they drop the car???). We had to bring the car back at that time to get that problem addressed and they did eventually make the squeak go away - mostly. Honestly I don't know why I went back except for the fact that it's the closest dealership to me. Anyway, wanna hear something funny? As I'm driving home I notice that the MAINTENCE LIGHT IS ON!!! It was NOT on when I brought the vehicle in for service. So I call at 6:03 pm and the guy has left already so I get to leave a message. Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow. I have been here a few times and had a few different service reps and have NEVER had a good experience. I've taken the vehicle to two other dealerships (one in another city before I moved here and one way across town). Guess I'm going to the one across town from now on. On top of all that he also recommended that I replace the entire rack and pinyon steering mechanism because there's a small leak somewhere - I have noticed no problems. If you're reading this guys - PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AND WHAT IS OPTIONAL REGARDING REPAIRS. Do not try to sell people stuff they don't really need - it will hurt your business in the long run. You should assign a severity level to each item, like yellow, orange and red. Red means fix this NOW or you might die. Orange means this may be a problem within 6 months and here are the symptoms to look out for. Yellow means - if you are very paranoid about your car and want to keep it running at tip top shape no matter the cost then do this now. Until you understand this you will keep pissing off your customers (by the way, I bought a Prius somewhere else AND did a $1,000 repair elsewhere because I wanted to avoid you guys - so yes it does hurt your business). Oh and by the way - the brakes he convinced me to get - the coupon price is like $109 for new pads - I have the coupon book. But, he convinced me that they HAD to re-machine the rotors so the total was $210. So I agreed to it because he insisted - but xxx, that's deceptive to say you can replace your brake pads for $109 but then it REALLY costs $210. If you think I'm being unreasonable - here's the total amount of repairs/services he recommended, remember now this is a TOYOTA with NO PROBLEMS THAT _I_ KNOW OF: $3247.95 Sure, guys - let me reach into my back pocket REALLY far for that. Anyway, goodbye Bell Toyota - hello CarTalk.com mechanics files... More
Do not go here to service your vehicle!!! I went here this weekend to get my timing belt replace, only to find out I needed to do an additional $1,600+ worth of service (the majority ~$1,000 to replace a this weekend to get my timing belt replace, only to find out I needed to do an additional $1,600+ worth of service (the majority ~$1,000 to replace all 4 motormounts). It sounded expensive, so I went to an independent shop. Not only did they find it unnecessary to change all 4 motormounts, but that only one needed to be changed (the dogbone motormount), which only cost ~$100 and could have been changed at the same time as the timing belt. In addition, Bell Toyota didn't honor their original price to replace the timing belt, and wanted to do an additional $500 worth of Power Steering Flushes/Transmission Flushes/Brake Fluid Flush that were not necessary.
