I get there and Chris says they have the car, will find it and pull it up. 30 mins goes by and still now car, I'm left sitting alone with one or two other workers asking if I've been helped. Chris comes back and says "I found one but they have to drive it here I think", but I was already under the impression that it was on the lot already. He leaves me again and I am left alone. Chris comes back and says I have the keys, come with me and we've get it together. Now, I am (supposedly) finding my own car. He clicks the keys over & over in the back lot and no car beeps. I'm getting frustrated because I took half the day off and I need to get back to work soon by now. Chris England leaves me by myself in the back lot standing there without the car I'm looking for or any information. I am ready to walk at this point. I walk back inside after 5 mins and go to a counter where 5-6 men/sales reps are talking and looking at their phones. I ask for me keys so I can leave. One man prevents me and says my car is still be appraised. I explain my frustration and how long Ive been waiting; that I need to go back to work at a certain time. He sits me down to find Chris. Now, I'm held hostage without my car keys. 15 mins later Chris pulls up in a 2016 Prius C Sea Green, the car I was told would be waiting for me when I got here - 1.5hours later. We take it for a test drive. At this point, I am cordial with Chris but not pleased anymore. During the test drive, Chris could not tell me the average MPG, the maintenance/oil change time frame or how the Prius C had compared to its sister car the Yaris (another car I was interested in). I asked him how the "hybrid" system worked and he couldn't educate me on that either! However, the car itself sold me for its size, fuel efficiency and popularity - so I said yes. Chris then sat me down to talk numbers and I had told him via email and over the phone that I did not want to talk numbers for an hour. We went over the MSRP price, the sticker price and the price I wanted it at and he accepted but then with tax/lic/fee, it brought it back up to over $18K. Now we needed to deal with my Infiniti title because apparently there was an issue. I was told I needed to make a new title in my name in order to trade in my vehicle - fine, so we went to a near by title store. THIS IS THE PART THATS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE. Chris told me that I couldn't drive my infiniti anymore because it wasn't mine (well, technically NO cause I didn't sign it away to anyone yet). But I let him drive cause he knew the way. He revved the engine and as we took a turn into the title store, I had to yell "WATCH OUT FOR THE CURB!!!" He then made a wider turn and barely scraped the bottom of my infiniti. He then chuckled and said, "It ain't gonna be your car much longer anyway..." THAT'S unacceptable. Not only is that unprofessional, but it also scared me cause he could have damaged the vehicle I wanted to trade in. Now we are at the title place and they tell me I need to make a brand new title for the infiniti that I'm not even going to own in the next couple of hours - it cost me $180 on the spot. We go back to the dealership and get all my stuff out of the infiniti. Now I'm waiting again for the numbers guy who makes you sign the contracts. At this point I've been at the dealership for 3 hours and I'm already supposed to be driving back to work. I'm already emailing some made up excuse as to why I won't be back when I said to my supervisor. Now I'm sitting with another guy who does the contract and tried to make you add unnecessary extended care plans and warranties to your contract so you can pay extra per month. The numbers come out different from Chris had explained which caused more confusion. Long story short, I bought the car, Chris England sucked as a saleman, they made me late to my job by 2 hours, Chris almost scraped and damaged my infiniti trade in and that leads me to Gilbert Ortiz - Customer Relations Manager. I appreciated his call in regards to my survey answers, however he never upheld his promise to the customer. Because of the terrible buying experience, he had promised a $50 gift card to a restaurant. That never happened. I emailed again January, then April; still broken promises and no gift card. He even stated over the phone, "Even if it comes out of my salary, I'll get you that gift card for all the trouble" - I haven't seen it. I gave Bell Road Toyota 6 months to right the wrong and to redeem them selves, holding off on this lengthy and negative fedback. As a member of my community, I feel that this needed to be told because I don't want other people to have the same negative experience I did. More
Review of recent used car sale What a pleasure to deal with Renee Houlihan for our recent used car purchase. A low key, but professional experience for me. No buyer's remorse here. Bogus dealer addons cost hundreds Avoid this dealership at all costs. They add so many bogus charges to a vehicle and hope you don't question any of them. For example "finishing touch" Avoid this dealership at all costs. They add so many bogus charges to a vehicle and hope you don't question any of them. For example "finishing touch" or paint sealant for $395. They don't put anything on the cars and tell you that they will cover any paint problems for 5 years. It is all a scam. "Theft protection" is another bogus charge for $289. Door edge guards and door pocket guards are installed but the door edges are from factory and the door pocket guards are a $10 product that they charge you $229. Next they push the extended warranty on you. They throw out some huge monthly charge, when you say, "No" they fake a meeting then take of $10. You say, "No" again and they ask if your a Costco member. Then they take $10 more off. Say, "No" again and they finally give you a monthly charge that is a third of the first. I feel terrible for the poor people that think these people are trying to help them and say yes to every number they throw out. How many of these 5 star reviewers know they got ripped off? More
