Found a good price on a Tundra here and a neighboring Phoenix Toyota dealership. I ended up flying to Phoenix on a Sunday afternoon to view, test drive and purchase a vehicle. The salesman, Steve Kohl, t Phoenix Toyota dealership. I ended up flying to Phoenix on a Sunday afternoon to view, test drive and purchase a vehicle. The salesman, Steve Kohl, told me to bring a "personal check" since I was going to pay in cash. I questioned this and he assured me it would be fine. I agreed to purchase the vehicle and was sent to the Finance Manager, Diego Franco, who ended up telling me that my personal check was not approved, and that he was going to have to draw up a fake finance contract if I wanted to take the vehicle that I night. I was 400 miles from home with no more flights that evening. Mr. Franco assured me that the check would be cashed two days later and the he would tear up the fake contract. Had I had the ability to get home that night, I would have walked. Totally uncomfortable with this transaction. I drove the vehicle home and reached out to both Steve Kohl and Diego Franco five times from Tuesday through Friday, and neither responded back to me. I also confirmed they were both working! I was finally able to talk with another manager who said they were having problems cashing checks, blah blah blah. Complete xx. I inquired to purchase a Vehicle Service Agreement (Warranty) and was called by a salesman in Finance Department who quoted to a price over 40% higher that was was proposed the night of the transaction. Still unable to register the vehicle in my state. Totally shady operation. DO NOT buy from this business. Also check with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and other Review sites. This was not an "isolated" incident. More
I would give 0 stars if I could! ! Avoid this dealership no matter what! My husband and I purchased a truck from them and we have had nothing but issues. It's been two months of back ! Avoid this dealership no matter what! My husband and I purchased a truck from them and we have had nothing but issues. It's been two months of back and forth over issues that should have been fixed before the truck was even listed for sale. The dealership admitted they should not have sold the car in the condition it was sold in. Their used car inspections are crap they do not check the cars for safety issues! We did not know it had major vibration issues in the steering wheel and could not be driven straight when driven at a higher rate of speed because they don't allow you to test drive on the freeway. Took it to multiple different places for different opinions on what was wrong and was told the tires had bad tread and the car was not aligned or balanced properly. When we asked the dealership for proof of alignment they refused to show us actual paperwork and gave us falsified notes saying the car was aligned. They also promised they would fix minor things when we made the deal to buy the car (huge dents on the back of the car and the dash plastic since it was foggy and you could not see the dash information) and then they magically disappeared from our due bill. Stating it was "cosmetic" so it wasn't their problem. Only after threatening the with a lawsuit did they finally agree to fix the issues. Terrible customer service from Diego specifically in their service department. Can't understand how someone with such a horrible attitude made it to the position he is in. Save yourself and avoid this shady dealership. There are plenty of good dealerships in Phoenix but this place is not one of them. More
Bell Road Toyota tried to rob me of nearly $2,900. My RAV4’s radio rebooted after a battery change — a known Toyota issue with a free software fix. Instead of following the TSB, they told me the whole My RAV4’s radio rebooted after a battery change — a known Toyota issue with a free software fix. Instead of following the TSB, they told me the whole unit had to be replaced for $2,875. I proved them wrong by fixing it myself in their parking lot with a USB drive. Then I demanded — and got — a refund. They either didn’t bother to do their job or deliberately tried to scam me. Either way, it was blatant dishonesty. If you value your money, do not trust this service department. More
Shopped online found the car I wanted made an appointment for the next day and came in. Salesman was nowhere to be found located the car myself and said I would like to purchase it. Myself and my cosigner ag for the next day and came in. Salesman was nowhere to be found located the car myself and said I would like to purchase it. Myself and my cosigner agreed with the salesman on a price $21,757. The amount that was to be for my trade-in was not on the document so they printed new ones. That amount was also wrong by about $2000. They said they fixed it what they did was at about $3000 to the sales price, a $4500 warranty that they told me was mandatory with the finance company and that I could get it refunded after six months. And a $1500 wheel warranty that also could be refunded after six months. When I left there, I had no documents. The finance guy said that he would email them to me. Never did. Called left a message called again and again and 2 days later on Saturday after calling about 13 times they emailed the documents after I told them I would be there with my sign to warn others of their fraud. Realized the bait and switch called again sent an email and NO ONE has returned my calls or responded to my email. Formal complaints are being made to Arizona Attorney General‘s office, Arizona Department of transportation, and the consumer financial protection bureau. More

“$4,000 Surprise at Bell Road Toyota — Bait-and-Switch in Full Effect” Came for a Tacoma TRD Sport advertised on Toyota’s SmartPath. Online price was clear — but in person, Bell Road Toyota added thousand Full Effect” Came for a Tacoma TRD Sport advertised on Toyota’s SmartPath. Online price was clear — but in person, Bell Road Toyota added thousands in fake accessories, then tried to justify it with nonsense like “the online price is wrong” and “options won’t be included at delivery.” One even admitted it’s “just to make profit.” Honestly, I was shocked. They sent out a parade of clueless clowns, each with a different excuse. No shame. No professionalism. Classic bait-and-switch. I walked out — and you should too. Total waste of time. Take your business somewhere honest. What a joke. More
Very disappointed. Ordered a new vehicle. Was sent the window sticker so i knew exactly how much it was. Got to dealership and was told another 3 grand added on because Ordered a new vehicle.
