Ripped Off, and Scammed at the Service Department I had a leak from my 2001 Honda Accord. I had my transmission rebuilt about two weeks prior to this leak. Bell Honda did not replace the transmission I had a leak from my 2001 Honda Accord. I had my transmission rebuilt about two weeks prior to this leak. Bell Honda did not replace the transmission. I started first and took my car back to the transmission garage. He check it out said "not the transmission that I had a leak at the drain plug." I then ran down to Bell Honda and worked with Steve Emery. I told him what the other mechanic stated it was the drain pan plug only. He took the car back to inspect, came out and told me I needed to replace my left axel @ $308.50. The leak was $517.44 . Again which I already paid for the same leak on 10/21/18, which was nine months earlier, and cost me $517.44 who ever repaired the leak the first time stripped the screw. Again only 1,081 miles. Replace drive belts $70.00. Replace timing belt $829.91. Came out of Bell Honda with a bill of $1,820.47, prior to that 9 months earlier came out of Bell Honda with a bill for $1,421.41, I can go on and on. I came home and got my previous invoices out and discovered I had my timing belt replace 17,344 miles ago. NO one gets a timing belt replaced after 17,344 miles I checked my manual that came with the car stated 105,000 miles or 84 months (7 years) or if you live in extremely hot conditions it's 60,000. It says nothing about getting a new timing belt at 17,344 miles. I am 73 year old women that really got RIPPED-OFF. Every time I took my car in for an oil change I came out with huge bills. Over 1,00.00 each time. Be careful of the "Complete Courtesy Multi Point Inspection" This happened to me over and over again. I trusted him. What a fool I was. I definitely will NEVER go to that garage again! More

BUYER BEWARE I went looking for a specific used vehicle. It was found in back Lot 5. I was told by salesman, Nicholas, that the vehicle hadn’t even been looked a I went looking for a specific used vehicle. It was found in back Lot 5. I was told by salesman, Nicholas, that the vehicle hadn’t even been looked at by a mechanic. I was going to take the vehicle to my trusted mechanic anyway before deciding to purchase. Nicholas had to go with me to my mechanic and while on the way he started asking me if I had money to put down, was I trading in a vehicle, needing financing or getting my own. Red flag #1. All the questions they typically ask so they know how much to hike the price. I didn’t answer. My mechanic gave the vehicle a good check so I decided to purchase. Now the nightmare begins. They would not give me the price of the vehicle until I answered all of those typical questions Nicholas previously asked me. Red flag #2. Then the haggling begins. We haggled and Nicholas goes back and forth about 3 times asking me to put more money down. I said no and the payments were too high for me. Finally he comes back and puts a hand written offer with a line for me to sign stating I WILL BUY if I agree to these terms. I said fine. I am led to believe the financing is approved and all is good so off to the finance department where I sign my life away. I signed all the papers that were pushed past me just as fast as they can. Red flag #3. Very quickly they tell me just the bare minimum of information so as to distract me. MY MISTAKE! I finally sign the really long form called Retail Installment Sale Contract. It states all the terms I agreed to. All done signing, I shake hands and continue on my way thinking I bought the vehicle. WRONG! Five days later I get a call from the financing department asking me to come in and sign the final papers. WHAAAAAT??? I already signed a contract! Oh and it had to be THAT DAY as it was the last day of the month. How convenient as I live in Mesa and the dealer is in N Phoenix, 40 minutes away. Nobody told me anything like this and I was just back at the dealer the previous day having them fix something that should have been fixed the day I took possession. When I get to the financing room Gordon tells me the financing was not accepted and they were now asking for more money down, payments I could not afford, increase in the interest rate and extended loan terms. I said NO and just give me my car back. Gordon says he’ll see what he can do. He comes back with another offer and “threw in” a 12 month service contract (which I had previously turned down). Oh but the service contract was actually added to the price of my financing. ***THIS PREDATORY LENDING PRACTICE IS CALLED “SPOT-DELIVERY” OR YO-YO SALES *** The dealer delivers the vehicle to the customer on the spot before financing has been approved. The dealer allows the customer to believe the financing is approved or will be shortly. Days or weeks later you are called back to the dealer to sign final papers with new terms. IF YOU ARE ASKED TO SIGN A “CONDITIONAL DELIVERY AGREEMENT” ...... BEWARE!!!!! Read it and ask questions! Look it up for yourself. There are a lot of good articles about this. One even written by the Attorney General’s office! I know it is my responsibility to read and understand what I’m signing. A lot of the paperwork is confusing and that is where people TRUST the dealership. BIG MISTAKE! They do not care if you understand their deceitful ways of making a sale. Just because it’s legal DOES NOT mean it is an ethical way to treat a customer. Dealerships and car salespeople have a very bad reputation for being shady, pushy and real smooth fast talkers. WELL EARNED BAD REPUTATION and Bell Honda is no exception! I will never do business with them again. More

We ended up being there after they closed and he didn’t mind at all. He never once made us feel rushed. No only that, but when we arrived, we honestly weren’t planning on purchasing a car that day let alone trading out an old car. So when we did trade our VW, it still had a sub and an amp wired. He took it upon himself to get the tools we needed to unhook it and take it home so that we didn’t have to return the next day. Keep in mind too, this was well after they were schedule to close and he still took the time to do this. We offered to do it ourself but he didn’t mind at all. He was very personally and relaxed. I HIGHY RECOMMEND DANIEL if you’re looking for a fair, low stress car purchasing experience. More
