I’ve been buying my trucks only from Beck & Masten since 2004 and feel I was always treated fairly. My 2017 GMC Serria had a recall . From what information I gathered it had something to do with the breaks. No one could specify what exactly the problem was but that I needed to bring it in and have it adjusted. The first weekend that I had a chance I took it up to the dealership do you have the issue fixed. When I talk to the person at the counter he told me that if I didn’t have an appointment it would probably take about an hour and a half. I did not have the time to wait so I left. The dealership called me later and set up an appointment for me. I live in Magnolia Texas now but I have always felt like doing my business with this particular dealership. It took me two hours and a day off work to make it to the dealership for the appointment we made. When I walked up to the counter I talk to an Hispanic guy with glasses and I told him I was here for my appointment. He proceeded to tell me that my appointment would have to take an hour and a half to two hours wait.If I knew it was going to take that long I would’ve never left the first time. When I try to ask him what the recall was all about he could not or would not explain to me in detail what exactly the problem was with the brakes or what exactly they adjusted On the brakes. All he could tell me as if the brakes fell more squishy or more tired than usual bring it back in. I was in a bit of a hurry so it could’ve been partially my attitude as well but the guy that helped me acted very impersonal . I don’t want to say he was rude but he didn’t treat me very nice either.It was like I was just another number and he didn’t care to explain anything to me. After I finish signing the paperwork to approve them to do the work he asked me if there was anything else going on with the truck that they needed to look into. I specifically told him I have a squeaking noise in the back passenger wheel that I would like to have looked at and please explain to me what the problem might be. When he called me back up to the desk and told me my truck was ready I tried to ask him what exactly did they do. He mumbled a couple of words that made no sense to me and asked me to sign. I never got an explanation why my back passenger wheel is squeaking. Again it was like I was just another number and wanted to get me out of there. I don’t know if the guy at the desk ever even told the mechanic to look at the squeaky noise coming from my back passenger wheel. He never said a word about it. He had me sign a few things and told me my truck was out there. I take very good care of my trucks and I like to know in detail what’s going on with them and if there’s a problem what exactly the problem is. As of now I do have a problem with the back passenger wheel and I do have a problem how I was treated through the whole ordeal. I am a mechanic by trade in the refineries and I know I have an issue with the back passenger wheel and it disappoints me very much that it probably never even looked into. There are other dealerships much closer to me. I could take my business elsewhere but I chose to drive all the way across town to do business with Beck N Masten GMC. But this could change in the future. To summit up the whole experience was very impersonal and I received None of the answers I was inquiring about. More
