I have owned alot of different cars over the years but this is the first time I have had the same service person take care of me from the very first time I took my car in. Lisa Smith always has a smile o this is the first time I have had the same service person take care of me from the very first time I took my car in. Lisa Smith always has a smile on her face as soon as I drive in. She makes sure everything is done correctly on my car when it is serviced whether it is just an oil change or a tune-up. She says I have the cleanest car she has ever seen. I really do take good care of it and she makes sure the associate working on my car does the same. They go extra mile to service your vehicle to make sure you have a reliable car. Mr. Fernandez has always looked for extra care on my car to make sure my vehicle runs smoothly. I had won a 2010 Toyota Prius and arranged with the companies sponsoring the contest to pick-up the auto at Beaverton Toyota. Even though BT and Doc received no commission from the sale, Doc spent over companies sponsoring the contest to pick-up the auto at Beaverton Toyota. Even though BT and Doc received no commission from the sale, Doc spent over an hour with me going over the car's features and setting up/resetting some of the features of the on-board computer system. His assistance was really appreciated. I knew next to nothing about the Toyota Prius before picking it up yesterday afternoon. Doc performed the basic installation of the car's Bluetooth system, and encouraged me to call him directly if I had any questions. More
Jeff helped build wonderful goodwill with a 2006 Prius headlamp replacement issue. I had come in the previous week to fix an intermittent problem where the passenger side lamp would go out while driving headlamp replacement issue. I had come in the previous week to fix an intermittent problem where the passenger side lamp would go out while driving and I had to turn the headlights off and back on to get the bulb to come back on. I paid over $250 to have the headlamp installed. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem and I went online and found a number of people having issues with the same passenger headlight. The consensus appears to be on line that the EMU is the culprit. When I went back to have this replaced, I was told the front bumper needed to come off and it was another $250 dollars for the EMU unit. Installed it would be over $400. The grand total for this headlamp replacement was going to go to over $600! That is scary. The good news is Jeff was able to find a Toyota technical bulletin on this issue and instead of trying to reduce the price of the EMU or offset with some discounts, was able to say the EMU is on Beaverton Toyota for building goodwill. They understand that $600 is too much to pay to replace a headlamp. So this second visit was basically covered by Toyota. While the $250 is still a steep price to pay for a bulb, I was very happy there was no additional charges even though the EMU was the faulty part. I like the way Beaverton Toyota stands together with corporate to represent the brand well. I know that even though Toyota makes great cars, from time to time, a quality issue will arise and how the company and dealerships deal with these issues shows what a great car maker should be. THIS KIND OF GOODWILL IS WHAT BRINGS CUSTOMERS BACK. I will continue to use Beaverton Toyota for all my Toyota service and the next time I am ready to buy my next Hybrid, I will be going there to see if I can't make a deal.
