The service department is run by a crook who goes by the ironic name of "Smiles". They lie to your face about what things will cost and they're the HIGHEST estimate every time. They brag that their servic ironic name of "Smiles". They lie to your face about what things will cost and they're the HIGHEST estimate every time. They brag that their service department is "#1 in volume in Oregon" and that should be your warning (it doesn't talk about how everyone loves them, they brag about their high volume in their highly congested suburban location. Big accomplishment). They don't get the awards from Toyota for their stellar customer service in their service department (look for yourself) - because it doesn't exist enough of the time for them to actually win one. Tons of Oregon dealers have won the Toyota Presidents award: "Each year, Toyota Motor Sales recognizes its stellar dealerships with the prestigious President's Award. It's a very high honor a dealership can receive from Toyota, and is only awarded to those dealerships who have demonstrated a commitment to maintaining Toyota's high standards for customer satisfaction." Beaverton is clearly not "stellar", "prestiguous", "honorable" and lacks "customer satisfaction". More
I had purchased a gas guzzling sports car recently and figured it would not be a bad idea, since I would own the car outright. After a few weeks of driving it, the gas expense became too much. As a grad figured it would not be a bad idea, since I would own the car outright. After a few weeks of driving it, the gas expense became too much. As a graduate student, I needed to watch my expenses, and this car was obviously a bad choice. I took the car to Beaverton Toyota to be appraised. They initially provided me with a low figure, so I decided to wait. Within the next few days I went to other car dealers and looked at other vehicles. I test drove a 2012 Honda Civic, but I was not impressed. So, I went back to Beaverton Toyota a couple of days later - and then enters KEVIN HAINES, Sales Associate. From the moment I walked in, Kevin was a true gentleman. He listened to what I wanted, and did not try to steer me into the direction of a car he wanted to sell. He was extremely patient and we test drove a car that really surprised me, a 2012 Scion IQ. From the outside, this car appears to be very small, but just take a look inside and test drive it, and you will be amazed! The car felt solid on the road and was loaded with standard features. I was initially looking at a 2012 Toyota Corolla, but was instantly sold on the IQ once I test drove it. And the best part? The IQ gets 35/37 MPG!!! Even though I was initially looking at buying, I asked Kevin to run some numbers for me on a lease. Since I needed to finish school and did not know where I would be in a few years, a lease was the right choice for me. One concern I had was that I was recently hired with a company, but had not yet started employment. I did have a job offer via e-mail, and Toyota Financial approved me, even with the credit challenges that I have had in the past and the pending start of my job! In addition, I had not received the title and registration for my old car yet, but Beaverton Toyota worked with me on that as well. Kevin even brought out wheel covers for me to view on the car, as they had two options. During the signing of my contracts with Mo (last name unknown), Kevin Haines was preparing my car for me to take home. He walked me back to the service department and showed me where to bring my car in, when the time came. Kevin also asked me to look the car over from top to bottom, and made sure that I was happy with the way it looked. He even went so far to clean the dashboard and hood, that had MINOR dirt on them. Kevin walked me through the options of the car, and set-up my phone for the car's Bluetooth option. He stated he was going to be off for the next two days, but that if I had a problem at all with the car, he wanted me to call him on his cell phone...VERY CLASSY! Beaverton Toyota ended up giving me more for my trade than they initially quoted me at, which was a fair price for all, and I feel the dealershp made a fair profit from the lease. In the end, I got a great car and this was by far the BEST leasing/purchasing experience I have had. Kevin was genuinely interested in making sure that I was happy with the experience, and the car. Great job, Kevin. I even called the sales GM the next day, Mr. Gillette, to let him know of the fine job Kevin had done. The only negative part to this process was the prolonged wait for Toyota Financial to return their decision regarding my lease. This was expected, as it was the last day of the month and a Monday. However, the dealership had not control over this. From the sales manager's desk (James Harding - he really looks like Tom Sizemore!), to Kevin Haines, this was truly a great experience. If you do your homework and go in with realistic expectations, I am sure you will get a fair deal at Beaverton Toyota. Just remember that the dealership is in the business to make a profit, not just give their cars away. I left with a minimal down payment (taken from my trade), a lease with GAP Insurance and a maintenance plan - all for less than $200/month! I challenge you to find a car with this reliability, build quality, economical savings, and loaded options for this low monthly payment. I will also be getting a substantial return on my trade once I take my title and registration in on my old car. I am not a Toyota employee, nor am I being compensated for this review. I hope this helps with your car buying consideration. More
I have no problem with the sales associate, he was trying to be helpful, but his sales manager was very impolite. Mr. sales manager you have the title, you put a tie and a shirt, but you didn't became a man to be helpful, but his sales manager was very impolite. Mr. sales manager you have the title, you put a tie and a shirt, but you didn't became a man. You don't know how to talk with people. Customer is always right. You can not tell any body especially somebody visited your dealership you are wasting my time. If a customer is wasting your time who pays your salary. THINK........ These guys (all of them) worked as a team to make us feel comfortable and welcome. They were over the top in helping us get what we wanted. We waffled a bit on making choices and without meaning to we put them to the test...they were always there with a smile to help us. We searched for our car for a long time, checking Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, Intellichoice, and AAA. We talked to friends and family. We went to many dealers and tried many cars. No one came close to helping us the way the people at Beaverton Toyota helped us. I recommend them without reservation. More

We were promptly met at our arrival by another polite young gentleman,Rob Simchen-Asst. Service manager. Rob took care of all our extras making absolutely sure we we're satisfied with each install. He bent over backwards, and every other way, to make sure of our satisfaction with our new prius, and the work performed. Again 5 star excellence. In my limited experience in buying cars, I have to say, my experience with Beaverton Toyota has to be the best. The sales staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Finance team really worked hard to find a loan within your budget. Truly felt that they cared and worked really hard for their sale. I know I rated the price a 3, but I don't feel like I overpaid for my Toyota. I think I would give the price rating a 3 or lower for any dealership, due to the fact that the prices you see on the commercials never really apply to your common man. Your credit rating has to be astronomical in order to qualify and I feel, very few Americans fit that bill anymore. More
We bought our 2004 Dodge Stratus from Beaverton Toyota a few months back. We purchased the extended warranty that was suggested to us as it was a "36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty." We were hesitant to few months back. We purchased the extended warranty that was suggested to us as it was a "36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty." We were hesitant to purchase the car, but were assured by Mo "IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG YOUR COVERED" his exact words. Now a few months later, a friend is getting into the backseat and pulls the seat belt around like normal and it rips from the seat. "no problem I have that warranty" I thought. WRONG. They want $350 for "trim". I took the car back to the dealer, they sent me to the Dodge dealer which sent me back and now they want to pay only $150 of the $350 dollars to get this fixed. Unacceptable. They have been so helpful in the past, and I have always reviewed them well and not this. Maybe it is new management? Regardless, until something changes stay away from this dealership. A seat belt is a safety feature, not TRIM. It is also located in between the two bumpers mentioned being the condition of the warranty. If the warranty they sold me is not what they said it was, I expect them to fix the problem. My name is Joel Hatala. It is 12/30/2011 and I invite any member of Beaverton Toyota to contact me to get this issue resolved. I will write more review regarding my dealings with this dealership everyday until this is fixed. Until then I STRONGLY urge anyone thinking of going thru this dealership to reconsider and I will be telling my friends and family to do the same. update: they have fixed the seat belt for $75 -the cost of the deductible on the warranty-. I am happy they got this fixed but disappointed it took three trips and a crummy review to get something done. If you do go to this dealer and something goes wrong, look for Cathy Low. I didnt get to meet her face to face, but she was interested in getting our problem fixed over email, and she got it done. More
My experience at Beaverton Toyota was low anxiety. I never felt pushed for a quick sale or experienced negative feelings regarding a deceptive sales force. never felt pushed for a quick sale or experienced negative feelings regarding a deceptive sales force. More
We have been looking to buy a new vehicle for the past few years and have visited Beaverton Toyota occasionally to look and test drive. We decided to visit again on the 2nd of November. We were greeted few years and have visited Beaverton Toyota occasionally to look and test drive. We decided to visit again on the 2nd of November. We were greeted by Tony Hossini and I immediately explained to Tony that we were not an immediate buyer but we were in the process of elimination: Highlander, Rav or Venza. Tony was very helpful in providing the information that finally allowed us to settle on a Venza when the time was right and as I stated, it was not 'right' at that time in my estimation. Tony was not at all pushy, he listened, and fully understand where we were and respected it. He did provide much information and answered our questions. We drove a new Venza and also looked at a used one on the lot which didn't have the features we wanted. Tony also looked at the used Venza's on-line and still nothing. Tony had just completed printing out a New Venza with the options we wanted so we would have something to compare against as we continued to search the used market when he remembered that a demo was likely to be available in the dealership shortly, it was not as yet listed on the inventory. It turned out to be the perfect vehicle for us with all the features we wanted plus the 'price was right'. We purchased it as a New Vehicle since it had not been sold and got the full New Car warranty. We also worked with Kevin Haines. A Great Guy also. Both Tony and Kevin were great. They respected our position and never tried to sell or force us. We were NOT SOLD a car; WE MADE A PURCHASE DECISION. My profession is sales and I can smell the typical sales process a mile away. It was the most pleasant car purchasing experience I have had in 40 plus years. This dealership operates by principles that distinguish it as a customer oriented business and the principles are apparent in all departments of the dealership that I have experienced in the past 10 years of having service performed there as well. This was my first new car purchase but it will not be my last if the need arises again. I look for honesty and integrity in the businesses I frequent and Beaverton Toyota has won my TRUST. Dennis R.
