My parents had paid him a visit earlier in the week--probably spent at least an hour with him--and was impressed by both his kind manner and the Sienna he nearly successfully sold us. On the second visit (New Year's Eve), he spent a couple more hours with us, going over all the features of the minivan as I had not been there for the first visit, giving me a good test drive, and sitting with us while we mulled over next steps. He went through the steps to give me on offer on our existing vehicle, with or without a purchase deal. In the end, we didn't buy from Beaverton Toyota simply because we were able to get a much better end-of-year price elsewhere. He was gracious when I delivered the news to him. As for the dealership itself, the no-haggle pricing is generally great, but it is odd that they charge full retail price on accessories. They claim that talking about discounts would violate terms with the attorney general, but not sure how unfair it would be if an accessory discount (10%?) could be offered to all buyers at time of purchase. Dealership is overall clean, spacious, and a nice place to spend a few hours, if necessary. More

The person who helped us in Vancouver was not knowledgeable about the cars or even what type financing Toyota had available. I knew right away it was a bad idea. But Tyler Degele from Beaverton Toyota was great!! Even though he was a month into the job he was very knowledgeable. I told him exactly what I wanted and he did not push me into something I was not interested in. The test drive really productive, we talked about the car and about financing options. He was straight forward with what he/the dealer could offer us. Tyler was really considerate when it came time for me to really think about my purchase. Afterall this was my 1st new car purchase so it was big deal to me but he gave me space to think it over which I really appreciate.
