I always tell people how great Patrice and the team at Beaverton Toyota treat me, but now the world I thought it was time to actually write a review. I always tell people how great Patrice and the team at Beaverton Toyota treat me, but now the world will know. Abused but ultimately vindicated. Had a water pump that was replaced preventively before an extended trip. During the trip the accessory belt shredded and the power steering pump faile Had a water pump that was replaced preventively before an extended trip. During the trip the accessory belt shredded and the power steering pump failed. I was able to get repairs at a Toyota Service Center in Orem, UT (Brent Brown Toyota). During service the representative noted that a shredded belt getting into the pump was the cause of the seizure. In addition, I noted that a bolt was not tightened on the water pump. Their conclusion was that a faulty / poorly installed belt by Beaverton Toyota resulting in repairs of over $900. We immediately contacted Beaverton Toyota to inform them of the situation. No one was available but we left a message and they never returned our call. Upon my return to Portland I went into the Beaverton Service center and was dismissed by my original advisor Vernon as he couldn't take time for me. I was ultimately able to speak with Service Manager Rob Ritchey to go over the situation. Rob was rude, patronizing and arrogant. He asserted that Beaverton Toyota could not be responsible, even dismissing the clear service notes of Brent Brown Toyota. Over the course of two weeks Rob put me off and at my continued insistence contacted the Brent Brown adviser who had so well documented the pump failure and loose bolt as to clearly prove that Beaverton Toyota was responsible. Ultimately, I did receive a refund for the repair cost but with Rob's continuous arrogance and criticism of Brent Brown Toyota. He is quite proud of Beaverton Toyota being in the top 25 dealers in the nation and uses this argument to enforce his position over smaller dealers, in this case Brent Brown. Size means nothing. I have owned Toyota's since 1989 and have never experienced poor service or breakdown, so to me the brand is exceptional. And, I very much appreciate the acceptance of responsibility. This is why I would still recommend Toyota's and the Beaverton Dealership but with caution. In this case I just hope Ron and Vernon reflect on how loyal customers like myself should be treated. In our first purchase experience in Oregon since relocating from Phoenix we were truly amazed. Simply stated, Joel Iwanaga was fantastic. The vibe that was set for Alexandra and I was that of family and ease. At no point did we feel pressured to purchase anything that wasn’t needed or fully understood. The entire team at Beaverton Toyota was welcoming and quick to answer any random question or request we had. Joel really went out of his way to find us the perfect vehicle and never doubted for a minute that he could fulfil every demand we placed on him. His demeanor was very professional and much appreciated at a time of mass confusion during our move. It was actually a welcomed experience stopping in to view inventory and speak with Joel during the process.
