I bought a car from Beaverton Toyota and was told "if there are any issues within a week bring it back and we will trade it in." This is a lie. I bought it after being told it was "fully inspected" and a there are any issues within a week bring it back and we will trade it in." This is a lie. I bought it after being told it was "fully inspected" and after driving it for a few days I realized it was getting 13-15 miles per gallon. I took it back and they said it's perfectly ok, gas stations put things in their gas in the winter to make cars run better and they all have lower MPG's. It's clocked at 27MPG city. I called again the next day and said I wanted to make an appointment with the service department because it was concerning, and it didn't seem gas stations would lower my MPG's by 15. I was going to Kentucky to visit my mom and grandma for 2 weeks so I made it for the day after I got back. they inspected it and said the air filter and fuel injectors are bad and spark plugs could use replacing very soon. I said ok, that's wierd since you inspected it before buying it a week ago and didn't see it but ok, how long will it take? They said an hour, it will be 500$. I was confused because when I bought it I was told if their were any issues within a week they would fix them or take it back. They said their sorry but its not powertrain. I said I already brought it back for that issue 3 days after buying it and the only reason why its been over a week is because I had plans to go see my mom and grandma 8 months prior. He said there's nothing they can do because it's been over a week and it's not powertrain. I told him I was never told anything about powertrain, all I was told is return in a week with any issues. I thought I was buying as is if I decided to get used instead of new but the sales lady said for 1 week I can bring it back with any issues. I told her that's great, makes deciding to buy a car as is a big relief. The sales people are nice but they aren't honest. I thought I had a good car buying experience thinking wow these people are kind human beings. They are nice, but they lie and lying is not how you should do business, especially not someone as reputable as Toyota. No one should spend over 20k on something just because the person selling is nice. They should buy because the product is good. Toyota does not sell cars "fully inspected" as they claim. I know this is fact because their were 3 issues literally the day I bought it. It's not like a drove it for a week and had the opportunity to do something to cause issues, it had issues the day I brought it. The 7 day claim they say is a lie and the "fully inspected" claim is a lie. I'm really sad to say it because I never do bad reviews, but 1 star. More
