I brought my 2020 Tacoma in for service last week. It could not have been easier. I called in they fir me in at the time I wanted. When i got there I was greeted right away. Was told I had to shell out over $3000 to replace sunroof- the rubber seal around the sunroof glass is deteriorating and seems to be a common issue with Toyota Prius. I have been buying Toyotas and service from Beaverton Toyota (BT) since the 80's. I have tried a few other Toyota Dealers in the area over the years and they are all so-so. Some times the service is go Toyota (BT) since the 80's. I have tried a few other Toyota Dealers in the area over the years and they are all so-so. Some times the service is good, other times not so good. Over the last couple of years, BT has decided to have very aggressive sales people try to sell me service, parts, tires, etc. that I don't need as soon as I pull into the check-in area. I am guessing they have gone to some kind of commission for any sale the employee makes. Last year it was for services that I didn't need. This year it was an aggressive tire sales person that tried to convince me that I needed new tires, even though there was plenty of tread on all four tires. The guy was still trying to sell me tires as I picked up my Tacoma and was paying my service bill. I am thinking that I should probably find an independent service center and forget about Toyota Dealerships for service! It is just very sad that Beaverton Toyota has decided to go the sales commission route for service. I guess it makes sense now that the vehicle sales side has gone to Sticker Price only, no negotiations for new vehicles. They have to make up the difference by adding commissioned service people. The more service the employee sells, the bigger their paycheck. I used to trust the service department, but not anymore! I have to take every recommendation they give me and research it, before I commit to the service. Really sad.... More
