2017 Elantra When I went to Beaverton Hyundai I was looking to test drive a 2017 Elantra to help decide whether it was the vehicle for me. I was greeted quickly an When I went to Beaverton Hyundai I was looking to test drive a 2017 Elantra to help decide whether it was the vehicle for me. I was greeted quickly and it didn't take long for me to start the test drive. The car itself impressed with it's handling, suite of features, and interior space. The negotiating process over the price of the vehicle didn't take very long. Ultimately, I was happy with my experience overall. However, and this does not reflect poorly on Beaverton Hyundai, I felt that Hyundai was misleading with how they calculate the total down payment needed on their vehicles. Very prominently the Elantra that I was looking at on Hyundai's website stated 1,999 down and 169 a month lease--yet the dealership made it clear that this price did not include things like the delivery fee, first month's payment, etc. This seemed suspect to me because I thought the fine print on Hyundai's site stated the 1,999 down included these extra fees. In the end I signed a 36 month lease with Beaverton Hyundai because they were both able to work so much with me on price and that the vehicle had all the features I was looking for--plus a few more. Looking over my experience dealing with Hyundai thus far, I will likely look for a lease with a different company in the future, primarily because of the discrepancy between Hyundai's advertising practices and their individual dealer's prices. More
