Happy family! I don't understand the bad reviews, all I had today was nothing but compassion and kindness. We started off the day finding out that our old chevy's I don't understand the bad reviews, all I had today was nothing but compassion and kindness. We started off the day finding out that our old chevy's trasmission blew, and it would be $2700 to fix. I called and emailed places the night before because I knew the outcome of the car would be bad. The next day we got that horrible call and i didnt know what to do. then all the car places i emailed, said they wouldnt finance us because of my credit- even though they were buy here pay here places! The mechanic that inspected our transmission called Todd Archer and asked if something could be worked out with my credit being REALLY bad ( like, 1 repo under my belt, and a really bad history of bill payments when I was 19!) At 25 I thought i'd have my xxxx figured out, but I was wrong. Then here we come bopping into Todd archer, and we are greeted with nothing but kindness, in minutes after getting my credit down and setting up how much I wanted to pay a month( we ended up $100 under the monthly payments i had suggested) Our Sales consultant( steve Rogers) zipped around and presented a 2014 Hyundai accent. It had some work done- totally upgraded by the owners son, but it was perfect for our needs. So we head back in and draw up paperwork, my credit was so poor I needed a cosigner, my mom ( she's amazing) jumped at it and said alright! well, then the snags hit, my mom lives in CA and they have smog admission requirements and that meant this new car would need to be flown or drivin to CA and get the plates and inspection there! I thought hope was lost, then thanks to Bob and Steve they haggle with the banks and fought back. eventually knocking the price down so much they wouldnt make money off my sale! They knew I needed transprotation for work and they fought tooth and nail to get me driving that night ( I had work the next morning) with a minumum down payment of $500, and a little luck and hope we drove away with the perfect car for our family. Here are some tips to make your experience easier ( since we did hit snags): 1. make sure you have at least $500 or someone you know that can loan that amount to you THAT DAY. 2. make sure you bring bills, proof of income, proof of phone bill, insurance, and identity. 3. have patience. They are going to try to get you what you need. Put pride aside because you may not walk out with a fancy car, but the cars they are are amazing regardless!. 4. give them a minute, don't get mad if you arent done with your sale in 30 mins, with out the above stuff, you wont be. so its up to you to have your ducks in a row, they are there to haggle, not get your bills and info from your home and whatnot - thats up to you. 5. Explain your case, why are you in this situation. Be honest. More
