I was quoted $530 to replace the cabin air filter and remove an acorn that was causing a noise whenever I turned on the AC. I was traveling to Greensboro Wednesday night and I started losing acceleration. At that time my engine light started flashing. I pulled over because my car would not exceed 60 miles on I-40. I had to wait for a tow truck because my car was sputtering. My car was taken to Kia Battleground and I shared what was wrong with my car. The following day I came to ask if I could have a rental because I was coming from out of town Chelsea explained that she had to wait to hear back from Kia regarding my Warranty for the rod bearing in the engine as she could not give me a rental until everything was cleared with the Warranty. One hour later, she calls and saying that my check engine light was not on and there was nothing they could do about my car and that I needed to pick up my car. I came the next day to picked up my car. An 45-1 hour later, the check engine light came on outside of Raleigh. I was losing acceleration and I was stuck on the side of the road and had to have my car towed to the Kia dealership in Durham. The customer service at Kia Battleground was not great. If my car was towed due to the engine light flashing, I feel the mechanics should have driven my car around to determine if the engine light would come back on. Kia of Battleground was not helpful to someone traveling from out of town with no means of transportation. More
