I have had the worst luck with this dealership. When I first purchased the car, I feel like I was taken advantage of because I had a newborn with me and I was really trying to get through the proce When I first purchased the car, I feel like I was taken advantage of because I had a newborn with me and I was really trying to get through the process. The finance person convinced me to take a loan through their finance company versus the one I had already secured a loan with. My finance company was offering a lower APR, but he was really pushy and made me feel uncomfortable so I went with theirs. I ended up waiting a month and going through my company instead. I am constantly needing service on the vehicle for the same issue. I was told I needed to replace the battery, even though I made it clear I didn't think the battery was the issue. Then I was told they wouldn't do any other diagnostics or service on the vehicle until I replaced the battery. So, I replaced the battery (through Sam's Club) and then 3 weeks later the same issue was still happening. I called and was able to take it in for diagnostics and recall service. They were able to diagnose it, but the lady Cassy told me she would have to check to see if it was covered under warranty. I told her that it should be because I purchased an extended warranty on the electronics when I purchased the vehicle. It took several days for me to find out if it was covered or not, and that was because I kept calling, not that anyone called me to let me know. Cassy told me that they would have to order the part but we could schedule an "appointment" so they could get the part. She told me it wouldn't be an actual appointment, just one so they could order the part (I don't know why it had to be that way, but that's what she said) and then she would call me when the part came in so we could schedule an actual appointment. Well over a month went by (Christmas included) and I hadn't heard anything about the part coming in. I called after the new year to see if the part came in, and sure enough, it was in and no one called me to let me know. I was able to schedule an appointment for a couple of days after that. Dropped it off, and service was very quick. When I went to pick it up, Cassy walked me to the checkout counter and I could see charges on the paper she was holding. I asked if it was covered under warranty, and she told me she had to check. I told her that she had already told me that it was covered. So, she went back and changed the paperwork to covered under warranty. It was really off-putting that I was going to get charged for something that clearly was already discussed that it was covered by warranty. If I wouldn't have brought it up, I would have ended up paying for work that should have been covered. Not to mention, it's been less than a week since my service, and the problem is still occurring. I will be looking for a different dealership to work with, because I really do not want to take my vehicle back to Basney. More
