But before I tell you my experience with Bart's let me tell you my negative experiences My experience with Adam at Bart's in Ft. Wayne was excellent. But before I tell you my experience with Bart's let me tell you my negative experiences with other car dealers..... As a lifelong professional salesperson myself, I HATE, HATE, HATE when car dealers play all the games that they think they have to play. Before we bought our car at Bart's my wife and I had gone to many other car lots. So many of them played the STUPID games with me. When I look at a car I ask the simple question of "What is your best price on this car"? A simple enough question that I should be able to get a simple answer. But noooooooooo. They as me what I would pay for the car. I say it is your car, you tell me the price. Then after giving me the best price, if I don't think it is low enough and start to say goodbye, then they say that maybe they can talk to their manager and get a better price...THIS MAKES STEAM COME OUT OF MY EARS!! I had already asked for their best price, so by telling me they might be able to go lower makes them a LIAR! Ugh! I actually had one dealer that wouldn't even tell me the price. I said I was cash buyer with money in my pocket and I asked 3 times what the price of the car was and I STILL got the song and dance. I got so mad that I walked out. (after then seeing the car online and what the advertised price was, I would have bought it had I been told the price) SALESPEOPLE QUIT DOING THIS!!! Anyway enough of my rant. Now back to my positive experience with Adam at Bart's. Adam gave me the best price on the car right away. I even tested him and said that if he could come down a little more I would buy it on the spot. He said that he had already given me their rock bottom price and couldn't go any lower. I further tested him by leaving. I left and called back a few days later to see if he would accept my offer and to my surprise AND my pleasure, he turned me down. This showed me that he was honest about his pricing and my wife and I ran right over to Bart's and bought our Ford Flex. It was washed and even had a full tank of gas. Great job Bart's!!! More
