6-Time MINI Owner: Shocking Lack of Competence and Professionalism at Baron I have purchased six MINIs over the past 15 years. While I usually work with my local Omaha dealership, I purchased my la Professionalism at Baron I have purchased six MINIs over the past 15 years. While I usually work with my local Omaha dealership, I purchased my latest MINI from Baron. It was a mistake I won't make again. The 1-year SiriusXM subscription is a standard part of a new MINI lease, yet mine cut out after 90 days. When I contacted Sales Manager Samer Saba for help, I was met with immediate deflection. He insisted I use my local Omaha dealer because he "couldn't do it remotely." This is factually incorrect; SiriusXM is a satellite service, not a local radio tower. After doing the legwork myself, SiriusXM confirmed that Baron failed to process the Retail Delivery Record (RDR) correctly. They left the car in "Demo Mode," which is why the signal died the moment the 90-day dealer timer expired. I provided Samer and Lisa F. with the VIN and Radio ID to fix this administrative error. Instead of solving it, they repeatedly ignored my emails or claimed they couldn't send a signal because I was "too far away." When I finally held them accountable for their laziness and refusal to call SiriusXM to fix the registration, Samer Saba had the audacity to call me "abusive" for expecting them to honor their contract. Because Baron let the Demo period expire without registering the sale, the system now incorrectly tags my brand-new lease as a "Used" car, making it ineligible for the 12-month trial. My local Omaha dealer tried to help, but because of Baron's botched paperwork, they can only trigger 3-month "pre-owned" trials. Calling a loyal, 15-year brand enthusiast "abusive" to cover up a back-office mistake is a disgrace to the MINI name. If you value professional service and getting what you paid for, stay far away from Baron MINI , Lisa Foell, and Samer Saba. The business office also used the wrong VIN in paperwork which I caught and corrected. More
