on march 24,/2022 i brought my 2016 explorer in to barber ford for recall 21s32 a few days earlier i noticed a rod hanging down from the exhaust pipe due to a broken rubber connector i asked to have that re ford for recall 21s32 a few days earlier i noticed a rod hanging down from the exhaust pipe due to a broken rubber connector i asked to have that repaired while the car was there advisor 093 handed me authorization paper for $135.00 and said for that amount they would look at and tell me how much the repair would be. i declined - . to be sure diagnostics play a very important role in auto repair - running problems - driveline issues - electronics etc. however a 10 second look at a broken rubber hanger only requires common sense and not one hour of diagnostic time. i then showed her a letter from ford i just received stating that damage to the rear ball joints may occur while doing recall 21s32 resulting in a knocking noise she assured me they would give the car a complete road test to make sure the repair was ok -mileage in 22558- mileage out 22558 ???? tech A39 gave the car a multi point inspection how he missed the rod hanging from the exhaust pipe i will never know = i can guess= he marked the exhaust green - "OK"-. loaner was excellent - car does drive and handle ok and was done on time - exhaust repair will go elsewhere however More
I was not told until I was handed the keys that I had no keyless entry on this vehicle. Being a single woman, I was rather upset. I was supposed to have a appointment with my sales guy but he had been exposed to COVID and couldn't meet me to close out the deal for me to purchase my leased vehicle.
