My wife and I have not purchased a vehicle for at least 5 years. Our experiences were average at best in the past, and we didn't know what to expect when we started looking. We weren't even planning to buy until March. We decided to get an offer from our bank before looking for a car to finance. We didn't want the pressure of a car salesman making us feel one way or another about credit, terms, and stuff like that. On our journey we had stopped at several other dealerships and the salespeople were ok, but nothing special. Then, after finding a vehicle we wanted to see online, we stopped by Nissan of Chesapeake. It was Mauricio that greeted us about 20 minutes before closing. He was charming, kind, and very cheerful. Both my wife and I liked him from the start. We decided to come back the next day to test drive the car, a beautiful Pre-Owned VW Eos. Everything was perfect. In fact, when we got back, Mauricio continued to look for cars for us. Not because he didn't have a car we wanted, but he was checking to make sure that my wife and I both were getting what we wanted and what was best for our family- He really cared. In the end, he helped us choose the best car, the Eos, by talking plainly, listening, and offering advice. We felt comfortable with Mauricio. When he asked us if he could help us finance the car, instead of going with the offer we had from our bank, we said yes to him. Good thing we did because he was able to work out terms and payments that were better than the offer we had! Man, this guy did an amazing job. I can not stress enough how important Mauricio was to us purchasing a vehicle at Nissan of Chesapeake. Mauricio didn't sell us anything. They have an extensive selection, and when I set my heart on one specific model, I was able to get exactly what I wanted. They were willing to work with my husband and I right off the bat for what we wanted. Mauricio even waited to do final delivery until after the snow and salt were gone so I could keep my car perfectly clean, on top of filling the tank for me. Mauricio was beyond incredibly and I will be seeing him to buy our next car later this year for sure. Great customer service after hours!! I arrived on Friday at 8:20pm 40 minutes before they closed! I was greeted outside before I even got out of my car by Mauricio!
