I was impressed with the customer service that was extended. I needed an oil change and decided on bringing my car in without an appointment. Please note, I am speaking about my personal experience. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would! I purchased new tires from another establishment and took my car into Banister Ford for a $200 front whe If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would! I purchased new tires from another establishment and took my car into Banister Ford for a $200 front wheel alignment. When I got my car back, there was slack in the alignment which negatively impacts steering ability. I returned my car to the Banister dealership only to be told that my car needed tie-rod end and a control arm....all of which were perfectly fine when I took my car in. After the installation of the tie-rods and control arm, I was called and told my vehicle was ready for pick-up. So $1500 later, when I picked up my vehicle, I asked to see the results of the alignment. When I received the results, the results reflected just that tires were aligned and everything else was misaligned. I told them that this was unacceptable and I would not be taking possession of the vehicle until all areas of the front end are properly aligned. I spoke with the technician #005524 who tried to tell me his only concern was aligning the front tires which was unacceptable. I had to rent a car for 3 days...Ugh, I could go on and on; however, I will thank the service manager who told them to make sure the customer is happy and he partially paid for 1 day of rental (they call it 2 days because they get a cheaper rate). In the end, $1500 lighter in the pocket, and 3 days later, my vehicle was repaired! However, that does not make up for the poor service I received and the poop I had to go through. Will I recommend or return to Banister? NEVER! So if you are assigned Technician 005524 request another one, because it will definitely cost you! I usually don't advocate for firing employees; however, with the subpar work he performed it is definitely warranted . While we know that Ford is built Tough; Ford's slogan in the 1980's was QUALITY IS JOB 1. Banister needs to get back to that! Thank you! More

Excellent customer service was kept informed of what was happening with my car. However, it did take 3 hours to complete the 75K mile check-up. I brought my car in for warranty work in May of 2024. I was told the parts were on back order and it might be up a few weeks weeks. Okay. A month later, I call, and they're still not in. I call in August, they tell me they'll call me. By the end of October (five months), my check engine light is coming on several times a day, my gas mileage is awful on a car where it's already terrible, and I'm losing patience. I call again, and was told MY TICKET WAS CANCELLED. Needless to say, I was not happy, especially when it was implied that it may not be covered under warranty if I were over my mileage. Fortunately, the issue did eventually get resolved and it was covered by the warranty, but dealing with this service department is like pulling teeth, and I won't be going back. This is a shame, as it is a smaller, Black owned business, and I would much rather support them than some of the other dealerships in the area, but I can't justify it. More
