Went to the extra effort to make sure the car was customized to the way I wanted it. In this case it was changing the grille of the BMW to the style that was not available as a option on the model I customized to the way I wanted it. I should have written this earlier but wanted to wait until I sold my car and give you an idea of how much of a rip off and deceitful they are. I received a card in the mail from BMW of Stratham about until I sold my car and give you an idea of how much of a rip off and deceitful they are. I received a card in the mail from BMW of Stratham about purchasing my 2005 BMW M3. The car is silver grey with Imola red interior and has 82,000 miles. It is in very good condition except the tires which did have to be replaced. I called the number on the card and spoke with Sarah. I mentioned that the card I received stated "I think you will be very pleased with my aggressive offer." The card also stated I did not have to buy anything, they just needed inventory for the upcoming Washington's Birthday sale. With all of this in mind I asked her what they would use to determine the value they would be willing to pay. She told me that they use KBB and NADA average trade in value. I told her that I did not want to waste anyone's time if they were going to try to lowball on the price of the car and she assured me that this was not the case. By the time the conversation with Sarah was over I made an appointment for the next day and told to ask for Steve Girtatos. When I arrived at the dealership, I met with Steve who then set me up with another person who's name escapes me. This person took down all of the information on the car and pulled it up front for it to be appraised. During the 1.5 hours I spent at the dealership the other gentleman showed me all of the new 3 series cars and wanted nothing more than to sell me a car. I repeatedly told him I was not interested in anything on their lot and could not afford the $57,000 for a new BMW 335. He gave up when another person that was there for the same reason showed up. Finally, the offer came. Not only was it low, it was lower than I could have possibly expected and nothing more than an insult to my intelligence. Keep in mind I was told average trade in. Rough trade in for the car with mileage, options etc was $18,700. Their offer was $16,000. If you read the description of rough trade in it states things like significant mechanical defects, paint and body has considerable damage and possible dents or visible rust, "interior reflects above average wear, permanently soiled carpets, missing trim pieces etc. I assure you my car had none of these. I had my service done at BMW of Stratham and the car was very cared for and loved. When I asked about this, their response was that the car was out or season. March was 3 weeks away which is spring where I come from. I left the dealership very angry and called Sarah when I got home. She assured me that it was not her intent to waste my time and was being honest about the average trade in value. She told me she would talk to the parties involved and call me right back. That call never came. A week or so later, I put the car in Craigslist for $22,000. Two hours later I had a check in my hand from a local dealer for $20,500 which is just shy of the average trade in of 20,800. It was still February but they thought the car was worth it and very impressed with the condition of the car and could tell it was very well maintained. I used that money to buy a new Mercedes C350 coupe. So long BMW and in particular BMW of Stratham. I will beep at you the next time I drive by so you can see the new Mercedes. I did not expect them to give me retail for my car but did not expect them to show a total lack of respect by giving me an offer that was worse than a half totaled car. More

When the repairs were completed a Brought in a used car for warranty service that I had recently purchased from another dealership two weeks earlier. When the repairs were completed and I was ready to drive off the lot, my service advisor actually took the time to go through the various features of the car ... as if I HAD bought the car from him. I felt 100% better about the BMW brand after my experience at IRA BMW of Stratham and now frequently recommend the dealership to friends and family. More

At no time did I feel pressured, rushed or uncomfortable, and felt as though we were beginning a long term relationship as opposed to completing a single transaction. What did they do differently than other dealerships? They were friendly and sincere. They smiled. They were not at all pretentious. Customer focused. Upbeat. Exceeded expectations. Every person in the showroom spoke to me in a respectful and friendly manner. Great waiting area (kid friendly too). I had recently been considering purchasing an all wheel drive vehicle and had been casually looking at Subaru Outbacks and Audi wagons because they were "practical" and seemed a good alternative to an SUV. My heart wasn't in it, I enjoy driving (I'm a former BMW Club member). After a 2 hour commute in Boston traffic on a Friday, I browsed the BMW of Stratham website for an all wheel drive car that would make my commute more fun, and I found it. I spoke with Jon Parker on the phone and arranged a test drive. The car was warmed up and ready to go when I arrived at the dealership, which was nice on a cold day. I fell in love with the car and Jon went out of his way to help me with my trade-in so that I could drive it home that day. Great experience all around, I feel very secure that Jon and the folks at BMW will be there for me when I need them, and I even enjoy my commute! As far as I'm concerned, they have earned a customer for life! More
Picked up my new BMW 3-series convertible today at Stratham - it was a fantastic experience. No sales pressure from anyone, and John was happy to take the time to explain the ins-and-outs of the car Stratham - it was a fantastic experience. No sales pressure from anyone, and John was happy to take the time to explain the ins-and-outs of the car before I left the dealership. And, I got a fantastic price. I had also looked at Bill Dodge BMW in Westbrook, ME - this dealer is a nightmare. In addition to being ignored when I went into the showroom (and after 20 minutes had to ask if there was anyone who could help me...), when we finally started to work on the numbers they wanted to charge me "$750 luxury tax" on a $50k car. The overall experience at Bill Dodge left me feeling that they were looking to take advantage of me. I'm looking forward to many great years of service at Stratham BMW. Do yourself a favor and make the drive - they're worth it! More
