The salesperson set up my BMW ID incorrectly so the car kept asking me for my email address and password. It looked as if there was a bubble in the display but it turned out that the dealer had not removed the protective film. The salesperson never took the time to show me how that car worked. In fact my wife and I were always looking for him and he was constantly on the phone. When we are spending 100K on a car you would think they would be more attentive. I'm not sure why I ever walked back in the door of this dealership. When I bought my McLaren (same dealership) I walked out of the showroom due to an extremely poor attitude. So I bought the McLaren in Philly (one of my better decisions). I've been asked numerous times about my new iX and I tell them GREAT VEHICLE, just don't buy it at BMW of Sterling. Oh, and I was able to correct all of the issues myself... I love this car!!! I HATE the dealership!!! More
It was a good experience up until the post-sale. The salesman-Vance Doughty--did not follow up after to ensure all titling and tagging was performed. We have received multiple fines as the dealership did not notify the state that we no longer owned our trade-in. We are on our second set of temp tags (now expired) as neither the dealership or the salesman (Vance) submitted the proper paperwork to transfer the tags. By doing so, we have had to file a police report regarding the lost tags. Again, it was a great experience until the sale closed. I would not buy another car from Sterling or Vance. More

Ordered a X5 M from Jose Zappa. Delivered the car to my house even though I was having heart surgery in a few days. The car set for over a month. No instructions on the vehicle. He Delivered the car to my house even though I was having heart surgery in a few days. The car set for over a month. No instructions on the vehicle. He needed to make his commission for the month. I was told to drive it for 1200 miles and return to meet with the genius! Well at 800 miles I bumped into a handicap pole with NO warning from the car! They have it for 3 months yes months. They got my car on April 28.Never ever buy a car from this dealership. You will regret it. More
Kamal, in the most positive way, is 100% nothing that you expect from a car salesperson. He is no pressure, no games, responsive, and courteous. He clearly takes pride in his work. His attention to detail an expect from a car salesperson. He is no pressure, no games, responsive, and courteous. He clearly takes pride in his work. His attention to detail and thoroughness is amazing. He test drove the vehicle before we arrived so he was familiar with it, drove it again after it was serviced- noticed an issue and had it fixed, and fully informed us about it. Though we were buying a pre-owned vehicle, he treated us as though we were buying a new top of the line vehicle. He made effort and took time to do all the little things that made this the Ultimate Car Buying Experience. While we were in the dealership, we observed him interacting with other clients, past and present, and he knew all of their names, the vehicles they had, and they all clearly enjoyed interacting with him. I cannot recommend BMW of Sterling, and specifically, Kamal more highly. More
We purchased a 2022 BMW from this dealership more than two months ago, and opted to keep the tags from our trade-in. We paid the required fees, and left with a registration for our new vehicle. Almost 2 m two months ago, and opted to keep the tags from our trade-in. We paid the required fees, and left with a registration for our new vehicle. Almost 2 months to the day, we received a letter from the state DMV saying they had been notified we cancelled the insurance on the vehicle we traded in and if we did not respond in the next ten days our licenses would be suspended. I contacted the DMV and discovered the vehicle we traded was still registered to us, and the new registration had not processed. We contacted the dealership right away and were met with transfers to voice mail with no returned calls. We spoke with our salesperson and never received a response back. We even drove to the dealership to get this resolved and were told no one will be there until the following Tuesday that is able to enter DMV data. We were given a 30-day temp tag, and assured we would be called and this would be fixed. We received no call or follow up communication and when I sent a text to the Assistant Manager I spoke with in person and he asked me what my VIN number was, then later said he found our file! Later that evening, I called the Finance Manager on his cell phone and he assured me that he would have it fixed and we would be contacted by 10:00 a.m. the following day confirming that. We received no call or communication stating this was accomplished. I had to contact the DMV to verify this was finally completed. Throughout all this, the lack of concern or desire to correct this from the dealership was appalling. We paid a $995 Dealer fee to cover processing and had we not contacted them 2 months after the sale, they would not have even realized this had not been completed. Why charge a dealer fee when clearly you are unable to process sale paperwork in a timely manner, greatly inconveniencing customers. Not mention the legal implications where we stopped by law enforcement without valid registration. More
Great experience when I purchased vehicle, in August of 2021. As they let me take home my new vehicle home the same day, they needed additional paperwork for my Trade-In, I was happy to drive an hour ba 2021. As they let me take home my new vehicle home the same day, they needed additional paperwork for my Trade-In, I was happy to drive an hour back the next day. About a month later, it seems they lost that paperwork; which they overnighted, I filled out, then overnighted back. No issues. Yet. A month or 2 later, I realized the GAP coverage I purchased is cheaper through my insurance. It took me a few times to get a hold of someone in Finance, but when I did he sent me the paperwork, I filled it out, sent it back. Was told 4-6 weeks to complete and the funds I believe would go toward my Auto Loan – no worries. Well, here we are in June, and I haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone, a call back, an e-mail response relating to my GAP refund. I even told them if they dropped the ball and forgot, let’s just start the process over. Nothing. It’s been ~6 months of avoiding me. Whether it goes toward my loan or a check to me, it should be around $1400 so it’s not like I’m making a big deal for $50. Sad that I went out of my way twice to be responsive when they needed something from me, but, when I need somet thing from them, silent treatment. Lazy and poor customer service for someone who went out of their way to buy an expensive vehicle an hour away. Wish me luck. More
