I took my BMW X5 in for a routine oil change. I ended up at the dealership for over three hours. They had forgotten about me until I asked about what was taking so long after and hour and a half. When they offered to wash the car, which took a half hour, no one vacuumed the interior which other dealers had done for me. There was also no video inspection and I just got some vague recommendations for future service. The next day I get a call from the sales department who tells me that the sales department is much better. I told him that you can’t separate out sales from service and how can they give anyone any confidence in purchasing a car from them. On top of that these guys are doing $5k mark ups on their cars from full list. Someone forgot to tell them the pandemic is over. I was also told that I need to ask for the right person when I schedule an appointment, making it all my responsibility . This all does not add up to a place to go to buy or service your car. More
